The earth cannot go above carrying capacity. No closed environment can allow a population sustained by it to go above it's ability to sustain, this is impossible. Imagine a fenced field with rabbits, how can the total rabbit biomass ever go above the total biomass of the system? Not possible. What you'd see if the earth were close to its carrying capacity for humans is a rise in infant mortality to keep it at or below carrying capacity. We are not seeing this, therefore we can deduce that we are not near carrying capacity.

The problem that is causing reduction in fertility, if I have to name one that is the biggest cause, since complex things like this have more than one cause, I believe is urbanization. Cities have always been population sinks, they've always relied on immigration from rural areas to sustain their populations, even as far back as the bronze age. We happen to live in a time when more than half the worlds populations live in an urban environment.

The problem with population contraction is that the median age goes up. A world with a shrinking population isn't just a world with less people, it's a world with increasingly elderly people. The ponzi schemes will collapse, and those that will suffer the most are the elderly. You can't have a system where 1 person has to care for themselves and more than 1 parent on top of having kids, it's not possible. It becomes a spiral.

And if you think you can accustom yourself... Imagine even in a non authoritarian environment, stepping over starving people and dead bodies as you go about your business. Having to look a little unhealthy to avoid being robbed. In authoritarian spaces, potentially the execution of elderly, the change in governance structure from democratic to otherwise because of that "necessity" given that elderly are the strongest voting base in all countries that have this problem and it will not happen without the crumbling of Democratic institutions.

He who reproduces at above replacement rate, especially in times like this, will inherit the world, not just genetically, but someone who, in these times, teaches his family a tradition of larger than average families, his descendants will be kings.

This is a historical day. Gold surpassed $3,500 federal reserve notes (FRNs) per ounce.

FRNs accumulated 99% loss in it’s value since the United States abandoned the “redemption” of gold at $35 FRNs an ounce on August 15, 1971.

This is a sign that the end of the dollar is here. The death of the dollar has officially began.

We will see a $35,000 ounce of gold and even a $350,000 ounce one day during our lifetimes.

This is a chart of the price of gold in terms of FRNs inverted. Or what’s the same a chart of the gold value of the FRNs a.k.a “dollars”.

Part 1

18 years ago, my mother was dying and I was in a very unhealthy marriage. I was mentally and emotionally unwell. I went to the doctor. I wish I had never made that drs appointment. But I did.

I was prescribed an SSRI. My doctor never gave me the full details to really understand what I was getting into. To be fair, I've also learned that big pharma tailored their trials and info to not actually inform the doctors either.

The drugs helped numb some of the negative emotions. But what I needed was real community and support, not medication to numb me from my life experiences.

Four years later, I had left my marriage and said goodbye to my mother and grieved that loss. I decided I was tired of the side effects from the medication and wanted to get off them. I followed my doctors advice and came off "slowly"... It is was no where near slow enough.

The panic was unbearable. I could barely function. I had gone back to university and thought I was going to have to drop out when I was so close to getting my degree. I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with a panic/anxiety disorder. So back on the meds I went.

I didn't understand at the time that I was experiencing SSRI withdrawal, and not a new diagnosis. I now know what was happening.

I'm going to split my story up over the coming days. This was just the beginning of experiencing how horrific SSRI withdrawal could be.

People that end up having kids when they don't want kids end up just destroying their children.

Ecstatic dance is solo dancing, not leading a partner

Power was out all day yesterday in Portugal. With no internet and no way to work, people came outside—chatting, checking in. The energy was lively, but also calm and connected.

How interdependent we truly all are really stood out to me.

At night, the stars were unreal 🙌🏼 No light pollution, no hum of machines—just stillness and spacious silence. It was beautiful—very grounding.

Also, it was kind of hilarious watching people stumble around their homes with flashlights 😅

When the power came back on, different parts of town were cheering.

Defiantly very grateful I wasn’t stuck in a train or an elevator 🙏🏼 I know it wasn’t easy for everyone; I'm grateful to have had a beautiful day.
