the cool Aunt. Scuba Mamí. Firestarter. (T-roublemaker). Generally notorious. Definitely not wearing actual pants. And probably on a beach somewhere.📍🇨🇷

I'm proud of my grown kids (25 & 26). And all their "misfit" friends. In observing them recently, I realized that we DEFINITELY broke it all. It's not our fault, our baby boomer moms had to work (I was a "latchkey kid" at 8 and had to take care of my little sister after school). So WE worked... because we always imagined that's what mommies do. So that's TWO GENERATIONS of kids who were feral AF (me) or raised by strangers (my kids). Of course they hate their parents and any adult who dismisses them. BUT if you're lucky enough to gain their confidence, the reward is IMMENSE. They are waaaay fucking smart AND very wise-- they understood that this was all broken a loooooong time ago. That's why they look disinterested --it's a defense.

But I also believe THEY'RE going to make it right. Either they'll be super-queer (and thus NEVER EVER have babies) or super-certain that they want to be at-home mommies.

Either suits me fine.

In both cases, I'm confident they won't be sheeps. They're too wise for that.

I'm a recovering democrat, now just a Bitcoin-based realist.

I don't think that they've done anything to help me (or people like me) in many years. I have noted that Nancy Pelosi's portfolio seemed to be doing quite well though... and I wonder how it's faring now, post-tariffs? Wonder if SHE saw this crash coming? 🙄

I recently had a funny encounter with my son’s principal at his charter school, which leans pretty conservative for a public school. Every day, each class sends a student to the office to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, the school motto, and make announcements. I happened to drop my son off a few minutes late on the day it was his turn, so I stuck around to watch.

My son and his Mexican friend—fluent in English—were messing around before the recitation. Boys being boys, my son teased his friend, saying, “You’re not getting out of this just because you’re Mexican!” They both laughed it off (this wasn’t over the PA system, thankfully). But the principal, an older white guy, overheard and took serious offense on behalf of the other kid.

Having grown up in the Southwest with a large Hispanic population, I know most Mexicans are proud of their heritage and don’t mind being called Mexican. So I asked the principal why he thought it was offensive. He explained that my son shouldn’t have referred to the boy as “Mexican.” I was confused and pointed out, “But he *is* Mexican. Why is that a problem?”

It got a bit awkward, but I explained that being Mexican isn’t something to be ashamed of. You could see the realization hit the principal—he’d assumed calling someone by their nationality was a slur. It was a classic case of someone projecting their own biases and getting offended on behalf of someone who wasn’t even bothered.

-White liberals ARE the problem.

-Race isn’t something to be ashamed to talk about.

In the 90’s this is how race was handled and it was a happier time.

I looooove what you've said about this.

I live in Latin America where it's realllllly shockingly normal that you're called out by your most obvious features: El Gordito, el Flaquillo, la Negrita.

Nobody cares, bc: well, duh. (That thing *is* obvious, after all.) 🤗

Buuuuuttttt, I disagree with the conclusion that ONLY leftists have the blame for this. We are a nation with a loooooong history of being racist AF (tragically fiat, now that I think about it) and calling it out (or not calling it out) shouldn't realllllly be a thing that gets decided by the ones who AREN'T that thing...

For example, I am NOT a good resource for how-to-lose-weight. It's literally never happened to me. That's not my genetic makeup. I can't, therefore, decide if it's easy to do or hard to do. I can only agree that it *might* be harder than I think and be nice to "fat" people bc they are, after all, just a product of their nature/ nurture.

That said, I'm a real judgy b*tch sometimes and I alwaaaaaays appreciate when my friends call me out on it. 🤣😂🤣😂

So, anyway carry on, fren. Sounds like you're doing a great job and your boy has settled somewhere on the happy side of GenX's stoopid idea of "color-blind" and just has ...friends.

I'm eager to watch as the next generations work through this, hopefully better than us.

Come to the Bitcoin Jungle next February for the freedom festival. 🧡

Isn't DOGE just a way to shift "public" over to private? I have been studying Bitcoin (not as long as everyone else here, but...) it sure does seem like this whole thing is just a clever way to make a few billionaires a LOT richer. I'm not convinced that any of this moves the needle toward a freer society. And I'm pretty sure we're still printing money.

Nothing says "I'm a selfish HODLing m-f*cker" more than taking it with you to the grave. 🙄

Why not donate it, if you care about humanity? Better yet, do it now and watch it change lives. 🧡

Hey, remember me? Told you how much I usually love your notes? 💕

Well, I (got stuck in the Vegas airport allllll night long and) read THE ENTIRE THING. Watched several of the videos, clicked several of the links.

Man, I think I love you. 🫂

Wow. Beautiful work.

Little short on fiat, currently trying to figure out where to get $$ to buy some! (I heard it was over. I even watched the documentary on Netflix.🙄)

I've been asking all my maxi friends how this #revolution begins. I think you've just presented the first real plausible scenario. LFG. 🎉

How can I connect with said homesteader vibe? I'm tired of arguing about Bitcoin. 😉

I think we can rest assured that these boys intend to make a LOT of money.

Hold.

"World Liberty Financial (WLFI), the decentralized finance (DeFi) venture tied to U.S. President Donald Trump and his family, added over $21.5 million worth of ether (ETH), wrapped bitcoin (WBTC), and MOVE tokens to its treasury on Wednesday, data shows.

WLFI acquired 4,468 ETH at roughly $2,238 each (totaling $10 million), 110.6 WBTC at $90,415 (another $10 million), and 3.42 million MOVE tokens at $0.438 apiece ($1.5 million).

The WLFI purchases, where Trump and his sons hold ambassadorial roles, come days ahead of a White House Crypto Summit scheduled on Mar. 7, where the President is set to meet with several high-profile crypto founders."

Feels like the kind of note where I should cite my source:

I know how strongly everyone here feels about "other crypto". I get it. But Trump just told all those "shitcoin" firms to re-shore their operations. He's about to claim a big win for American jobs. Good ones.

And... (I'm not picking on you, I just feel like the only one who sees this) *some of* those shitcoins are really NOT ACTUALLY EVEN COINS. And they're DEFINITELY NOT COMPETITORS to Bitcoin. Some of them will be very useful to the world of mainstream eCommerce and international financial institutions and many will end up working with Bitcoin to create solutions we haven't even imagined yet. But NONE OF THEM want to replace (or threaten the position of) Bitcoin. Truly, I'd be willing to bet that every single one of those crypto bros at the table yesterday owns Bitcoin.

I wish everyone would stop going on about shitcoins. It's embarrassing.

I hope you don't mind that I chimed in. I mean, it was a bunch of boys agreeing that women aren't GETTING it. I generally like your notes and appreciate you as a NOSTR celeb, but one of my fears of this protocol is that it's kinda echo-chamber-y. Me, as someone with an actual vagina, I'm not afraid of this particular thing. It seems like another one of those bills that's labeled to make what it's doing seem all sweet and innocent, like the "Protect Marriage" ballot issues in California in the late 90s. And the "I love my wife" bumper stickers. But if you're open to other opinions, I'd like to keep following you and maybe sometimes (hopefully) respectfully disagree. But not very often, don't worry. Just when it feels appropriate for someone to pipe up and tell you that there's ladies here now. 😘

Have a nice night.

it's basically a separate but equal which allowed little girls to become athletes. every human deserves a chance, no?

we have to be careful. it's all slippery slope.

lol. men, at their core, are also weirdly obsessed with penises. idk, but i don't think the topic deserves so much attention. neither I, nor my daughters, have EVER had this problem. it just doesn't register to me as a legitimate threat.

Do you wanna go ahead and mansplain to all of us why we should give one single f*ck about this thing that is so important to all the men? This thing that is named in such a way that LOOKS like it is meant to protect us (while at the same time you'd vote to dismantle Title IX and reproductive rights)? Probably you know something we don't. 🙄

Just saying.

Yeahhh, I feel like Primal is mis-connecting this comment from another thread. It's really much more easy to follow over here in Amethyst. Sorry 'bout that. I think the comment was related to asset seizure.
