My mates kids want to know where Santa is...
Gonna head in to town again. There's sod all for me to do now, but I want the chaos. And a burger. #Christmas is coming πππ
That sounds horrendous - I'm at just over 6 weeks since it happened now and I'm so fed up with it. Physio has given me a bunch of exercises and instructions, so I'm going to follow along and pray that it helps.
Asked a few people today and they're all working normal hours. We're degrading as a society.
Manager said to me yesterday 'why the fuck are you not off sick?', told her I'd rather get in their way than everyone else's π - they're making me take a weeks holiday from the 2nd π
At physio now, trying to get over this back injury. Things have improved but there's a way to go. Hoping this helps and doesn't set me back. Fingers crossed π€ π
I'll be working tomorrow, so that people with young families to entertain get more time with their loved ones. Those childhood memories are treasures which stayed with me till now. No kid should be denied those moments. If you're surrounded by family and preparing to celebrate, or even begun celebrating, I hope you have an amazing time tomorrow ππππ
This is the only way it works. Silk Road proved Bitcoins value in the real economy. There's been numerous attempts at building bitcoin marketplaces since. My fave was Open Bazaar, till Nostr appeared.

Just waking up, almost time to go Christmas shopping π ππ₯³
What all do I get with a nostr.build account?
* 21 day Satisfaction guarantee. If not happy we return your sats :)
I was glad I finally got around to paying for an account a while back, but I wonder, is there a way I can see all the images I've uploaded, since before I brought the paid account?
That's probably true. The thing is, I genuinely think that nostr is the way we make Bitcoin work, ultimately, regardless of price. The way we now have a decentralised market place where we can sell our goods and services, something which can't be taken down, with a social layer which fosters good relationships and forges reputations, means bitcoin can now be what it was built to be. It was never meant to be a bankers plaything, or a NgU meme. It was built to be our currency.
I reckon people have enough going on at the moment, this close to Christmas - I wouldn't be surprised to see it pick up in the new year, when the excitement is over and the drudgery of life returns to normal
Haha, I wish, no, this is humble little Portsmouth, England's only island city
GM #nostr friends, early morning wander before descending in to the fiat mines and its peaceful and wonderful, hope you're all having a good start to the day π

Followers is notoriously difficult to count accurately.
Never grow up, it's a trap

Glad you're on the mend - despite being surrounded by the diseased, somehow, so far, I've dodged it - just as well given the back injury. Don't go too mad at it, give yourself time to build back up to full steam βοΈπ

Waiting for Spoons to open so I can grab a breakfast, then a walk to work my back, then on to updates for the website.
Gonna tidy up the profile views today, public and logged in, then add links to other useful nostr sites and apps. Should be easy...he says...
Only minor changes today.
Tomorrow working on updates to public and logged in profile view, adding links to other useful nostr apps and there was something else, but I can't remember right now.
I'm off to watch Chosen on Prime for a bit - it's the story of Christ's disciples. Great series.
That's definitely an issue with some of them π
Two seems enough. If people want more content they can click and look deeper.
The state may argue that it should be able to track all your financial movements and in Bitcoin that's certainly possible, but in contrast, you have the right to privacy not just from the state, but from everyone you have financial dealings with, from companies to individuals. Tools which enable you to express those rights are needed. I'm gutted about the Samurai case, because it's a direct attack on all privacy, not just from the state.
GM #nostr - out for breakfast again but, I gotta be honest, a little fed up this morning - thame back is still doing me in amd it's severely limiting my activities.
I'm generally quite active so this is really dragging now.
It's really daft - I sat in a chair and twisted my spine to turn and talk to someone who was sat to my left and slightly behind me. I was sat like that for about 10 minutes. An hour or so later, I couldn't walk or even stand up straight. It's still not right, but I am recovering. Totally avoidable amd I should know better by my age π
