Yes I actually came back to say I totally left out any reduction in heating costs! That will close the gap quite a bit. I doubt it will fully close it with a single space heater in my region, but it certainly makes it a lot closer.
I think so. I may still take the plunge as a fun side project! Good info on parts here⦠youāll see the fan is where things really get sideways nostr:note19xw0p3frh96z80kgccu8cw0nlfxj4ld7nwleufvnl45vam6n3wcsqh6gey
Iām struggling to see that itās worth it even as a heater, but still potentially a good side project. To me it looks like a heater build will cost about $300 (a super quiet fan costs like $120) and kick off about 90 cents a day if you were running it 24 hrs. Ignoring price changes and upcoming halvings more efficient miners will keep coming online so it probably wonāt get much better. Tough to see a way to break even - though it is possible with crazy price swings.
I once had a 2+ hr flight where we took off right sunset and were flying at just the right pace that the sunset seemed like it lasted the entire flight. It was very surreal.
Looks like you also had a great one!
Sound quality or other reasons?
My Jabra 85h over ear noise canceling headphones have reached the end of their life⦠Recommendations for a replacement? I just bought the Bose QC45 and was relatively disappointed. Right now I think the Sony XM4 is the next best best (XM5s not folding is a deal breaker).

You can always watch Thankskilling as a transition on Nov 1 š only if you get enjoyment out of terrible movies
It looks like it depends on the definition of open-source. It doesnāt use an open-source license, but the code is indeed publicly available (just not redistributable).

Regardless, I may have to give it a shot for personal use - the nostr writer feature looks awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Also you should check out Joplin if you havenāt! Iām guessing itās less polished than obsidian but they sound quite similar in terms of being markdown-native with plug-in capability, and your choice of cloud storage location

Is obsidian open-source? Their license is certainly disappointingly restrictive.
Do you know if anyone has worked on a similar plug-in for Joplin?
š and definitely the reason I choose nostr!
I agree, but it also feels like thinking AOL will win just because they have the most people. Keep in mind a lot of people did think AOL would win!
Why not both? Is that not what the original incarnation of the internet was?
Comparisons to bluesky are so shortsighted!
When Meta/X announce their next new innovation bluesky will be left in the dust. It is incredibly narrow and has no depth. Nostr is a replacement and an advancement all in one.
Like you said it is just going to take time to build - build the tech, build the community, and build confidence.
I canāt even imagine⦠I have no relatable experience and knew nothing about the topic going into the movie and they did a great job of illustrating some of those relationships.
I also just finished watching this about 10 minutes ago. Fantastic movie.
TIL that load banks are going to be the shortest lived industry of all time. Found out they exist today and they are already obsolete. nostr:note1gw7t2mfwvvsd7qw2qud3q5z63mawzzvvr2lhmukneum5w6wu6jjq6xmuy5
Nitro cold brew black! So no additional flavoring, just a frothy, smooth cold brew
