What in the world is OpenLDAP? Yes, I read about it on the internet, but still, it is weird to me that this even exists. Why is it used for?

This entire game is about energy preservation & appreciation of your purchasing power, over medium/long periods of time. Strip all of the economic & financial dogma away, and keep it simple:

Technology is more advanced than ever, yet prices keep going up, as more units of currency perpetuate the system; it never ends.

The idea of an absolutely scarce monetary asset with supply inelasticity relative to demand, tied directly to energy markets with an ever increasing marginal production cost, is so profound, that most dismiss it outright; are repulsed by it even. It breaks worldviews.

A majority of people are so comfortably dependent on the incumbent system, that they will decide defend a ticking time bomb.

A small minority understand the system as it exists from within, yet defend it for reasons of self interest and greed; dishonorable but understandable given the incentives.

The rest are useful idiots, defending the system while being exploited by its very existence. This cohort is definitively in the blast radius, due to their own sheer ignorance and/or incompetence.

On the other side, there exists an intransigent and uncompromising minority of people who have come to understand the ultimate reality of both systems. Economic game theory and a desire for a different rules based order leads them to simply just leave to start playing a different game entirely.

/usr/local/usr?

Sometimes I make it work somehow, but the truth is that I never managed to learn how to properly deal with these binary tarballs that come with a bunch of /usr, /share, /lib, /include directories inside. I can only imagine there is a canonical way of unpackaging them into the correct places.

Is worthwhile to post charts/analysis here, even if it is similar or even a direct copy of what I post on Twitter.

Sometimes a computer program is complex enough that you must make it only once, so you don't have to ever update it again, because if you update it -- even to just add a tiny little new thing -- then you risk breaking everything. And to make sure you are not crashing everything you'll have to revisit the entire logic, which is equivalent to rewriting it again from scratch.

What did banks learn over the last several days? They can have poor risk management and the government will make their debitors whole again. That means even riskier capital management in the future. It's a win/win situation for them.

Bitcoin is the only commodity where higher prices cannot induce more production and supply, eventually lowering prices.

A supply response is not an option.

That means the only way Bitcoin can respond to an increase in demand is for the price to go up.

Computer security is paramount. Timely operating system and application updates are key. This goes for your Bitcoin and Lightning nodes. This goes for your docker containers too. When was the last time you updated them all? Bragging about "uptime" means you're bragging about running a kernel with known vulnerabilities. Update your systems and reboot them. The more you know.
