Bitcoiner turned Nostr hobbyist

"I think couples should make love with masks on so they don't give each other covid"

What goals are you aiming for at the gym?

Why are there so many Bitcoiners that pride themselves on being toxic?

Fuck the exchanges. Fuck Cashapp. Fuck KYC. Let's keep building better p2p marketplaces

VS Code is one of the best built apps out there and it's surprising they did it all in Electron. I guess direct DOM manipulation makes sense since VS Code really does run significantly faster than other code editors like Atom

Someone needs to make a NIP defining for lightning-restricted relays. You can only post if you pay some minimum threshold of sats. Otherwise running a relay is uneconomical. For Nostr to persist, the economics of making clients and relay have to work out.

Lightning receive privacy isn't too bad. The tradeoffs are much better compared to having a single address on the blockchain at least.

On Lightning, people still can't see how many transactions or how much money is being routed to me unless a party puts significant resources into monitoring the network. This isn't a crazy thing to imagine happening though given the rise in LSPs and the fact that chain analysis companies are incentivized to have a non-trivial amount of routing nodes, but Liquid has it's own challenges as well.

Confidential addresses do allow someone to blind the amounts and assets being transferred but utxo linking can still be done for example. I do like the idea of using Liquid as a mailbox though. Maybe Aqua will implement something like this in their newest release.

Idk if they are "better than" people think at playing them. I think most people who've had significant exposure to LLMs see that the thin layer of RLHF only offers minor improvements in interface and not content

This is why the work of projects like stablesats is so important. It allows those who believe in the ethos of decentralization and hard money to contribute to the circular economy without putting themselves at risk to short term price fluctuations (because like you said, no everyone is in the position to withstand even small ones). It might not help them keep their bags safe from the risks of centralized currencies since they are still denominating in fiat, but it will help Bitcoin-denominated businesses flourish since the amount of users willing to transact in satoshis will increase.

Their biggest advantage has always been their UX. Like the article said, something Meta still struggles with. The only thing that I think will kill this product is the weight of the headset. MKBHD said the Vision Pro is built with metal and glass which is a non-starter for me because I already know it's going to kill my neck

One of my favorite scenes from A Bug's Life. That movie is goated.

Congrats!! Anywhere in mind for the honeymoon?
