Amen.
This world we live in.. I didn’t sign up for it. It was forced upon me. Some days it just becomes too much. I have taken my fair share of incoming arrows. Some of those arrows were, and continue to be, unjust. Some of those arrows were of my own causing. I am not perfect.
I don’t want a perfect world. I want a world where I’m not reliant upon the desires of others to control and extort me and where I’m respected enough to be left alone to do my thing so long as it doesn’t harm others unjustly.
The desire to effect this declaration already exists in many of us. No sane person likes to be controlled or have impositions forced upon him or her. At the end of the day, we the people give others the power to do things against us. We sit in relatively quiet outrage, not wanting to rock the boat, not wanting others to perceive us as crazy, and not doing anything about it. Though, in a sense, participating in #Nostr and #Bitcoin is doing something about it. It’s setting a direction toward what we believe is a better and more just society for us to live. For this I am encouraged that the options are available to each of us to participate or not as we see fit in a way that has not been available to us before.
Decentralization may seem like chaos to some, but that’s because they don’t yet understand what it is and means. They don’t understand that these systems are about taking back control from the privileged few. The proof is in the pudding. Our systems seem to be working. Each of us are free to participate or not in these decentralized systems. We know the rules ahead of time and we know that change is truly of consensus, rather than this fake show the ruling class foists upon us without consideration of our input or desires. nostr:note10qp726g4zffsgs05l83a5e7hx42rsqhx4urvmtg6g8xtnu4qxjpsgaxy4d
GN, #Nostr. I’m pretty tired after working and being at our #homeschool co-op today with cross-country practice after.
I did come home to this, though. #Plants are amazing.
Looks like someone leaked the playbook, realized it, and took it down.
I have a fax machine and I’ve used it fairly recently to communicate with my ineffectual government.
Dang it, you know me too well.
The fed only does what’s best for it, not the citizens. #Bitcoin solves this.
Anything to simplify usage for non-technical people will help drive interest here.
Does it pass the mom test? In other words, can my non-technical mom do it and would it make sense what she’s doing and why?
My $.02 worth is this sounds like a good idea right until I envision mom adding 44 relays because she keeps seeing the add button but then ends up adding spam relays because she doesn’t know any better. I guess this needs more thought.
Congrats! Home birth is the way to go as far as my wife and I are concerned. Having had multiple children at home after traumatic hospital deliveries for the first couple, I can say home birth is way better. It’s scary the first time because you don’t know what to expect plus there are tons of doubts and what ifs but having an experienced mid-wife makes a huge difference. Our midwife was phenomenal.
I decided to try it. So far it has been pretty good. No major problems uncovered yet. There are a few little things here and there that they’ll fix eventually. I installed on an IPhone 14 Pro and 12.9” 3rd gen iPad.
I tried doing some long exposure photography at night on my iPhone 14 Pro a couple nights ago. The exposure was much longer than this image indicates so I guess the iPhone had other ideas. I wasn’t even going to post it. I didn’t expect the stars to show up as much as they have here. #photography
He just needs a #Bitcoin sticker to be complete.
The pic came from the show notes for Security Now podcast #992.
He doesn’t seem to fully understand what #Bitcoin is or means. The US being the Bitcoin capital of the world is not ideal and goes against the whole idea of Bitcoin to begin with.
Try Amish butter cheese. It’s not bad cold but really good melted on a burger.
Another #fire night out on the deck
Oh wow. I’ve got a long way to go. I’ve done 20 so far today. Better late than never. Thanks for sharing!
