Worked at a very large insurance company for nearly two decades that went through multiple stages of outsourcing to those big Indian firms that dominate the IT space. Ended up becoming friends with some of them over the years and ended up finding out salaries as well as how they were able to provide so many "qualified" bodies since they came at 5 or 10-to-1.
Was shown their vast PCE dump libraries on pretty much every vendor and technology. On top of that, they had an onsite testing facility where you could just retake until you passed. Bonafide cert mill.
Once the ink was dry, it didn't matter if they were paper techs because they usually had a couple dudes that actually knew their shit and would carry the contract. Those guys usually ended up stateside getting paid what they were actually worth.

"SB 1047 would establish liability for developers of AI models that cause a catastrophe if the developer didn’t take appropriate safety measures. The legislation would apply only to developers of models that cost at least $100 million to train and do business in California, the world’s fifth-largest economy."
Don't know about you guys, but I'd be more interested in hearing what those folks have seen in their company R&D labs that have them so spooked. If it does get passed, we just see these firms leave California, no?

That how he makes his money these days. Certainly isn’t making it off gold.
Is that is why there is a major lag for notifications to hit? I've been experimenting keeping Primal, Ditto and Coracle open in browser. Even thought I've been posting via Primal, I typically get notifications back on it in Ditto 1st, Coracle 2nd and Primal a distant 3rd.
Always was going to be. Nobody wants to walk around with a big headset on long term. Hell, half of the pencil neck geeks that bought them don't have the necks to support 'em.
Doesn't it just warm your heart? Maybe Ripple can send Greenpeace some more payola. Sweep the leg, Mr. Warren.

"Through it all, an exodus of workers from lower-paying jobs led companies to push up wages that had been stuck for decades.
Researchers at two Federal Reserve Banks — those based in Kansas City and New York — say this is a key driver of higher grocery prices. Pay for workers in food manufacturing and retail rose a bit faster than pay for workers in many other occupations. A report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City noted that processed food, which requires more labor, accounted for the vast majority of price hikes."
This was hidden in the article and not really expanded on. Some quick Google searches said Kroger had 414k employees in 2023. On the Kroger subreddit, I saw a post saying the average raise is typically $0.40/hr every eligible raise period.
Just to baseline us a number to look at, that's 2080 x $0.40 = $832 x 414k = $344.5m in increased hourly labor costs before associated benefit cost increases.
If we know that number is on the light side due to regional differences, labor unions, tenure with bigger steps, etc... it makes sense why grocery prices have jumped on that alone. That's also just one variable in the equation -- you have likely wage increases at the manufacturer level, the supply chain and logistics level, etc.
TL;DR: Grocery prices aren't coming down any time soon, friends.

The “Internet is Dead” theory suggests that the internet, once a place of organic and free exchange of information, has now become a tool dominated by big tech corporations. Instead of user-driven, authentic content, the internet today is flooded with manipulative, artificial content designed to fit specific agendas. In its early days, the internet was a platform where people could freely communicate and share knowledge. But today, search engines and social media platforms manipulate what users see, leading to the claim that the original internet has “died.”
This theory highlights the growing need for decentralized technologies. This is where Nostr comes into play. Nostr is a decentralized protocol designed to revive the original spirit of the internet.
Nostr emerges as one of the communication tools of the future, offering an alternative to the constraints imposed after the “death” of the internet. It represents a crucial step towards reclaiming the freedom of information sharing.
I hope this awareness reaches more people.

Just read the abstract and didn't see this mentioned, but I believe the average user only visits 6-10 sites per day worldwide. Also saw something like only 3% of the Internet is even visited.
It's essentially Google/YouTube/WhatsApp, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Reddit and TikTok anymore. The traffic consolidation into the hands of big tech has been wild to watch.
While that may be mathematically true, haven't 2 BitAxes already found blocks. Based on how few of them have been produced and how few run them, that is pretty nuts to think about.
As someone that was brought up on BBSes and then has run (and still runs) message boards for over two decades, I'm definitely waiting for this.
To be fair, you're probably flying too close to the Sun on this topic.
I walked two people through setting up Primal at our last Meetup and your account is literally auto-added for new users.
I renewed one last week via Namecheap and it took maybe 20 minutes.
The bathroom tends to be the singular place in the house that people respect so you can truly get peace and solace. I'm sitting and taking that time.
As for girls saying sitting is for sissy boys... everyone shits. So is it only sissy when you have to urinate? What about when you go #1 and #2 simultaneously? Are they granting a sissy waiver? They can kindly sit... and spin.
What if ReplyGuy is a prominent #Nostr OG that is unleashing hell to push people to their paid relay?

Bear Down! It's time to kick off the Caleb Williams Era.
Don't know your situation, but don't certain caching services like Cloudflare offer free SSLs? I feel like even though I bought my own, theirs override the one sitting on my server.
Vegas resident and buffets are almost extinct. There are only a handful left.
That said, the ones left are strictly for quantity. For example, the Wynn buffet is seafood heavy so if you love crab legs, this is where you would eat your weight in them.
