nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr is it possible to add accounts to a list in Nostrudel? I was able to create a list but I can’t find a button to add people.
🤔 Now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve ever created a team from scratch in App Store Connect. I just had to do it for Google Play and it was a heavy process. They needed to verify that we were a real corporation. Maybe Apple is the same way so they don’t have an easy create button.
I’m part of three teams on my Apple ID!? Everyone at Nos uses their personal Apple ID with our account.
I think it’s more about trust and dependency on a middleman than fear of censorship. It’s abstract at scuttlebutt’s scale but the idea is that we can only avoid a capitalist enterprise enclosing and extracting value out of our open network if the system is not dependent on them. And I’m not convinced that’s wrong. But maybe it is too big of a step forward. Nostr is much more practical.
As someone with my own two year old this list is pretty inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
ht to nostr:npub16zsllwrkrwt5emz2805vhjewj6nsjrw0ge0latyrn2jv5gxf5k0q5l92l7 for elucidating the old Scuttlebutt syncing problem to me at Nostrasia. It’s why BlueSky achieving redundancy with reliable CAP is a dead-end.
Optimized outbox is an exciting alternative.
Interesting. I’ll look forward to that talk!
You’re right. I should have written “Nos hides the notes *of*” not *from*.
nostr:npub1n0sturny6w9zn2wwexju3m6asu7zh7jnv2jt2kx6tlmfhs7thq0qnflahe Hi seems like Nostur isn't adding 'a' tag when user comments on a 30023 event. This causes inconsistent behavior, some apps don't show the comment. Also if author edits the 30023 then your comments won't be visible anywhere.

Uh oh, I think Nos does the same thing. I will file a ticket for that.

Amethyst will have a purge account button soon, but Account Management mini clients are also welcome to code and help people migrate relays and delete their stuff from unwanted servers.
I helped a little but most of the work was done by nostr:npub138he9w0tumwpun4rnrmywlez06259938kz3nmjymvs8px7e9d0js8lrdr2, nostr:npub1qlk0nqupxmlyxravg0aqscxmcc4q4tq898z6x003rykwwh3npj0syvyayc, and nostr:npub1uaajg6r8hfgh9c3vpzm2m5w8mcgynh5e0tf0um4q5dfpx8u6p6dqmj87z6!
I tried Amethyst for a few days (no, not that Amethyst). It seemed to work well but I didn’t stick with it. I have never been a tiling window manager person before and I decided I use way too many apps for a tiling window manager to make sense. Getting them into the right configuration only to switch it up a minute later seemed like too much effort.
I also felt like the windowing system on macOS doesn’t help. Closing and opening windows a lot sometimes causes apps to do unexpected things, whereas alt-tabbing keeps everything as-is. I do use https://rectangleapp.com/ heavily for quickly splitting my screen.
Nos mangled it too 🤦♂️

You could publish the results of your classifications as NIP-32 labels tagging the image hashes directly and let clients subscribe to those.
I think nos.social is doing something similar, so we almost have a protocol already. nostr:npub16zsllwrkrwt5emz2805vhjewj6nsjrw0ge0latyrn2jv5gxf5k0q5l92l7 nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240
nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w You can take a look at kind 1984s published by nostr:npub12m2t8433p7kmw22t0uzp426xn30lezv3kxcmxvvcrwt2y3hk4ejsvre68j to get an idea of what we are doing. They should all be published to relay.nos.social.
The main downside of doing it this way is that the client has to search for labels referencing content and that gets complicated. Like do you wait to display the content until you are sure there aren’t any labels? How can you be sure there aren’t any? But in practice it has been working pretty well.
It makes me sad but I agree.
fwiw Nos gave me a push notification last week that nostr:npub1qlk0nqupxmlyxravg0aqscxmcc4q4tq898z6x003rykwwh3npj0syvyayc and nostr:npub1j60x528w2g2vkq5kae5uhh8y7sezjyj20zcsg0v9muc72cmdpu0s0md7ua unfollowed me, which was strange because I think I’m on good terms with both of them.
Oh yes sorry that’s our new follow notification server which accidentally got turned on for everyone for a few minutes. We aren’t going to ship the unfollow notifications but they are useful for development. But yeah I think a lot of folks lost their follow lists around Nostriga.
