Privacy, to me, is not letting the whole world know every little thing I do, regardless of what handle I am using. Hell, I use a VPN for apps AND private relay when browsing the net.

I do agree that Nostr needs more engagement, but until the client developers realize the protocol is plateauing because they cater only to tech minded people, I don’t see it getting much bigger anytime soon.

Have you ever been through a major metropolitan transit system? Have you ever seen artists along the hallways, singing and/or playing instruments in the hopes of making a few bucks? That’s exactly what Nostr reminds me of when I use apps that support zaps.

As far as authenticity, it’s no different than YouTube, people say or do things they think you want to hear in order to gain likes/subscribers. How many people actually like/subscribe to your content is not a metric for whether or not the content is genuine.

You’re never going to see authentic or genuine posts the way zaps are currently set up, you’re going to see people posting whatever they think they can get paid for.

Also, there should be a minimum amount of sats to send, sending the default, which is usually 20-40, is like leaving the lint in your pocket for a tip.

If you go to settings - network in the primal app you can see the default relays. I don't think it transfers the relays from Amethyst.

On my test account in primal it has the default spammy relays.

I saw the spam relays icons on your notes but now they are gone. I think when you install a client like Amethyst it comes with the default relays which are the spam relays. You have to remove them and add your paid relays manually then you will be fine.
