German-American partial Khazar, Independent vibe emanator, Free Software philosopher, Pro-Am gamer, musical composer, tech and gaming tutor, and host of the Nëïgsëndöïg Cöcülës Show on YouTube and Wavlake. Also the originator of the #ttrpgstr tag. Hobbies: gaming (video games, board games and TTRPGs), music production, creative writing, AI shenanigans (Stable Diffusion and RP), GNU/Linux, Free Software (not just Open-Source), chatting wit people, content creation (vibe emanator), podcasting, spirituality (Chaldean numbers of 7 [legal name] and 9 [Pseudonym]), numerology, and gematria. Highly spiritual, black and white opinions (No gray area), and a potential reaper of souls in the coming harvest (the mass exodus of the Roman Catholic Church, the Jesuit Order of the Society of Christ, and their rituals). DM for more details on where to research.

As a Monero, BTC, gold and silver advocate, I do see where you're coming from. While I wouldn't call Monero a poopcoin (because it does have its purposes as true digital cash), the anti-BTC bias is probably because of some aspects of BTC like the transparency that could be weaponized (a guess as to one of their talking points).

There are risks to privacy with BTC for those that don't know proper OPSEC in terms of it, which may make XMR more palpable in some cases.

If I do eggs, it's 4 at a time. Cracked, salted, scrambled, left to rest 10 minutes while the pan heats up, goat butter or ghee (sometimes coconut oil or avocado oil) on the pan before the eggs are ready for the heat.

The part before the fat is added is how restaurant eggs are made.

Just looking for an alternative when the centralized social networks are controled to the point I can't use them anymore.

Plus, this brings opportunity to escape the Matrix.

so we maybe did a thing…

I shall certainly take a look.

If guests are in the future though... I wouldn't mind proving myself first if this is the case.

Glad I don't use Twitter. I've got YouTube for business purposes (entertainment pointing to cypherpunk ideals and music, but that's about it.

Nostr fixes this. Centralized social media being restricted is no good.

I only have YouTube for business purposes (I run two channels on there, one for music and the other for Linux, FOSS and gaming).

Otherwise, I'm active on some forums, and use encrypted messengers whenever I can.

To be completely fair, I'd recommend you install them something like Linux Mint Debian Edition (because Ubuntu might not be that great), or any other beginner-friendly Linux distribution depending on their needs. They need to realize that Windows is already malware, and Linux is the best solution they have. Otherwise, they can buy a Mac, and that's a bad ecosystem you don't want to be in (as an Linux guy and an iOS user, not a good combo for me).

GE, y'all.

I found a good idea for the next episode for my podcast which will be coming out next week. Since I started to attempt game development again, I thought I'd look at tools that a Linux user might go ahead and use. The only thing is that I would want to make sure they're free/libre open-source software for a lot of different things, but I provide some proprietary options for a category or two here and there if that's necessary. Despite that, I'm going into the more technical side of things as of late, but I think there's a reason for that. I might go ahead and do more of this for the podcast, but let me know what you think if you'd like. I won't judge regardless (unless of course one decides to not use constructive criticism or criticism that's downright disrespectful).

I also have plans for another bonus episode, but I don't know if I'll be able to do it this week. The last few times, I failed to deliver on the day I had said because I was sidetracked with some things. Hopefully, I'll be able to, but I'll keep you posted on that front.

I'd have to take a look at what your show is about, so maybe do something like Forget and Regret: https://wavlake.com/album/6b638ddb-b7bb-4f95-a83e-37a0056141a4 or Sand Digging Heals might be a good one: https://wavlake.com/album/b46311fd-5a0e-4719-9a37-9c6152d46196

Try this.

I started using Orion recently, as they allow for Firefox and Chrome extensions. Maybe take a look into that (I'm sure nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyehwumn8ghj7mnhvvh8qunfd4skctnwv46z7ctewe4xcetfd3khsvrpdsmk5vnsw96rydr3v4jrz73hvyu8xqpqsg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q8dzj6n wouldn't mind taking a look at it either).

YouTube is starting to pull some shenanigans, Rumble is also doing some weird stuff, so probably find a Nostr-based platform to do this if you decide to go this route.

Cloudflare is now blocking niche browsers.

They just started doing it. Now they decide what software you can run. [1]

BLOCKED: Pale Moon, Falkon, and SeaMonkey

ALLOWED: Chromium, Firefox

WHY: I believe they are purposefully trying to reduce the choices, so you're more likely to use the same browsers, that are more easily fingerprinted. Pale Moon is considered better by some, but.. Once again I am pounding the table that:

a) If you're looking to do unique stuff, you're going to stand-out as unique

b) If you think custom mods and forks is the answer, you're sticking out like a sore thumb, based on what flavors of JavaScript, you're uniquely blocking. So..

c) Plugins, forks, & extensions are not going to change the fundamental nature of web browsers, which is that...

d) The way Chromium & Firefox are structured, is designed to empower the website developer, and not you. But..

e) You will not be able to stop using Web Apps, give it up. It's a dying battle. Instead,

f) Simplified Privacy is a 2nd Linux distro of browsers, to empower you with enough options at the tips of your fingers, (such as different versions of the same browser), to easily and effortlessly overwhelm their surveillance.

If you have not already spent the (less than 10 minutes) reading my Cloudflare Fingerprinting Guide, it's spoon-feeding you the critical information, with easy memes:

[1] News on Blocking Niche Browsers:

An easy tip to not be part of that garbage is to use a Firefox fork that is proven and time-tested, harden the you know what out of it, put a few good KNOWN Free Software extensions on it, use a non-Cloudflare DNS solution that's proven and time-tested.

Brave is your only Chromium fork, bar none. Otherwise, forget Chrome.

Don't use centralized AI, but Free Software solutions like DeepSeek and other FOSS alternatives. I use local AI, and that's how we survive the coming years, bar none.
