I'm thinking about posting all my videos on Nostr instead of just YouTube & Rumble. Would that be a good thing, or too much clutter?

YouTube is starting to pull some shenanigans, Rumble is also doing some weird stuff, so probably find a Nostr-based platform to do this if you decide to go this route.

My understanding is Nostr just relays information, it doesn’t store large video files anywhere.

I would prefer it. I don’t know of a nostr client that’s as slick as the YouTube player, but not having the terrible ads (often pushing poison) is worth watching you here.

Go for it. You'll never create more clutter than bots already have. You will probably need to pay for a media service though.

Nostr > YouTube + Rumble
I would encourage that completely! I always watch YouTube videos via a proxy, an app that retrieves the videos for me, so to watch privately, without ads and tracking. But YouTube is actively blocking this. So it's really challenging to watch YouTube without YouTube.
Rumble is a great alternative, but very few double post their videos. Although you don't know how Rumble will behave itself in the future.
Posting videos on Nostr would bring high quality video content to Nostr :-)

Worth noting you’d need to pay for a media server somewhere. Nostr isn’t the same as posting to YouTube or Rumble as there’s no central servers, just relays.
I self host my content on Peertube. Paying a media server still puts you at the mercy of a third party.

Sounds like you would be doing with Nostr what a lot of creators do with Patreon these days. Posting here first, getting the zap storm started, then sharing it on Youtube and other places a few days later. If people want to see them immediately, they'll need to join Nostr. If they're willing to wait, fine.

I’m building a brand Island Wealth on Youtube and Linkedin.
It is small. But I invest a lot of time in it.
And while it is still small I’m thinking: why am I putting all my time and attention to decentralized social media that can ban me in a snap?

So I started first streaming everything to zap stream while streaming it to youtube, facebook and linkedin.
But thinking strongly about ONLY streaming to zap stream AND even buding my own bloom server!!!
On the long run I own my nostr keys and thus I own my content!!!
You have a mich bigger audience on Youtube. So you have a much bigger liability than me. If they cut you off your revenue streams from youtube are cut off right away.
So from a - not your keys not your Bitcoin view point - and analogy - not your keys not your videos - you don’t OWN any of your content on Youtube!
