Testing some new sun tea flavors! Most of these have Hibiscus as the base because it Hibiscus is helpful for staying hydrated during the summer months and it typically tastes amazing with citrus.
I gave my husband the Hibiscus and Yerba Mate sun tea last year while he was working in some solar fields in Blythe, CA where it commonly hit 130+f (54.4c) in the solar field. He had several coworkers who ended up with heat exhaustion.

Each bag makes about 26+ cups at three tsp per cup of tea. Each bag is sold as an ounce but I tend to add more than an ounce. Two to three tsp per cup is what I use to make our cups of tea and what I put as the recommended serving.
We're looking at adding a few more herbal teas to our lineup.
So I'm asking all of you out in Nostr, what do you like in an medicinal herbal tea?

The new growth looks awesome! I may have to try that when I get my tomatoes in the ground, hopefully this weekend!
I'll keep an eye out for it!
We'll be doing something with extending our growing season, but probably not much will help extend for things like tomatoes until we have a heated greenhouse. We're in the high desert, so when our first frost comes it normally comes in with a bang. Last year we got here at the end of October and within a week it went from being in the 40s at night to in the low 20s, so even with plastic it'd kill tomatoes. The plastic definitely will help with more cold tolerant plants though and I have a nice 100ft roll waiting for the fall! We just have to adjust our expectations for this year and by next year we should have more infrastructure setup for food production.
Plus this year is more focused on my husband growing his electrical business in our new home!
I know but I don't actually have a garage or really enough space for letting them sit while they ripen. We recently moved onto raw land and are slowly building infrastructure.
We have them growing for our first year. So far our deer have ignored them and I've found deer tracks within a few feet of them but they haven't tried to eat them. I'll be putting a fence around them soon to take away the temptation but I was kind of surprised they didn't eat them or the comfrey or strawberries.
Trying an experiment. These tomatoes are 60-70 days till maturity and I have about 150 frost free days that started about week ago. I want to see if I can start these tomatoes now and still get a harvest, the math adds up that I should at least get some. They're a indeterminate, so I may need to look at topping it about 30 day before my estimated first frost to ensure what's set will have enough time to ripen but I think it's worth the garden experiment to see if it works.

Sounds like an amazing dog!
My boy is definitely my boy, we didn't train with my in-laws goats he just jumped in and started helping after watching us for a few minutes and with a few corrections he picked up what we wanted him to do. I grew up in rural suburbia with only rescue dogs and he was my first working dog and I was so impressed with him, not only how he picked up what we wanted him to do but also how happy it made him.
I love what you guys are doing to preserve such a small and relatively unknown breed. I'm watching how people that just want pets are almost destroying good working breeds because they love the look and colors of the dogs, like what they're doing with Border Collie and Aussies.
Cats are definitely on the list but first we need to build some infrastructure for them to hide in. At least a shed for them to be able to kind of get away from predators, give them some what fighting chance at survival.
I'll definitely take note of the orange and white though. My in-laws had a big old black and white male that lived forever and a small tabby female that did as well. But they only had a few predators not as many as we do.
I will, we've been looking at McNabs for several years but just purchased our homestead this last year so we are restricting ourselves to our Border Collie Aussie mix and our lab.
Pray for me I put off going into walmart and I need little baggies for my tea samples for the local shop to drop off tonight for this weekend... How did I forget it was Memorial Day Weekend in a tourist town!!!! It's packed and in my head I'm still used to winter busy levels not holiday weekend busy levels...
