Ran into a bit of a problem where my sim stopped working on my phone out of the blue while traveling overseas. Freaked out at first but then remembered about silent.link; within 10 minutes I got a new esim paid with sats that got me data so I could move around the city, catch a bolt to the airport, and stay connected when there wasn’t wifi.

If you are comfortable with python you can check out nostrdvm, the basic protocol is pretty simple so you can also write it from scratch, especially in a language that has Nostr sdk bindings. You just need to listen for the job request kind (5xxx), offer a status update events (kind 7000) like “processing”, etc and then submit the job when you are done with the matching kind 6xxx result event.

Cryptographically signed urls hosting deepfakes

Whenever I see a video on X of someone talking, my first thought is "I have no idea if this is a deepfake or not"

At least on Nostr, if a video is posted from someone and then it's shared again, I know it's been cryptographically signed as coming from that person.

It might depend on the use case and which DVMs you are using. When you say “send by the client” do you mean broadcasting a kind 5000-5999 event, vs say DM’ing the DVM directly?

Could you elaborate? Do you mean that like you make a DVM Job Request at a regular interval?
