Imagine Webs of Trust (WOT) with me:
This is how Nostr will fend off bots and bad actors. Your “trusted” follows (and possibly their trusted follows) will comprise your personal trust network. It will be your WALL from which undesired content can be avoided and new friends can be included.

- “Trusted” accounts will be relative to your account, and always chosen by you. Any account can be marked as “trusted”.
- “Trustworthy” will be suggested by your “WOT filters” which will be configureable on your profile. (And extended by NIPs)
- “Followed” will be your baseline (as it currently is) for accounts “of interest”chosen by you.
- “Recommended” accounts (that you do not follow) MAY be available for you to consider for following or trusting, based on your WOT settings.
In the end your WOT filters will keep YOU in charge of your own web of trust. This will determine the accounts that you interact with AND the accounts that YOUR followers see as “trustworthy” or “recommended”.

This entire conversations (linked posts) have evolved from the reality that NIP-05 does NOT verify trust, that nostr ecosystem suffers from messaging otherwise, and that we really do need a “verified trusted” tool for end users.

In marital arts, weapons training is earned. As it should be otherwise.
I don't really know at what age it would be good to give a boy a real gun in his hands, but I think that very early as it seems in that video it only makes him want to kill his schoolmate for stealing his pencil (I don't know if you understand what I mean). I don't know if there will be something like what happens with martial arts, like teaching values or something similar. The implementation possibility (lists of posts) DOES exist on nostr, however. But “social” clients are still kinda slow to “differentiate” from the standard Twitter model. This will come.

I’d like to know more … if you have ideas of how nostr can move fwd. Decentralized trust is not easy.
It’s the notion “bigger is better” that is the trap. Smaller is better for individual freedom … on all accounts.
