GPG ist eine Grundlagentechnologie, ohne die viele andere Entwicklungen nicht als Open Source möglich gewesen wären. Bis heute ist GPG die Software die z.B für das signieren und verifizieren von Apps notwendig ist. Nur damit können z.B. #Bitcoin Wallets sicher verifiziert werden.
