founder of the gopher milk factory https://geyser.fund/project/gophermilkfactory Go and Bitcoin maximalist remnant living in Madeira and working to help the free humans connect with each other.

solar flares taking down power and internet grids isn't quite as scary as people might imagine.

it is pretty much only going to wipe out maybe a little over half of the global infrastructure, the chances of two of them hitting with neat 12 hour differences and making everything dark in one day is infinitesimally small.

so, a carrington event is gonna be big. but it's only gonna burn out the circuits of half the planet.

so also, that means bitcoin will keep running anyway.

i suppose you also maybe were talking about hardware level? i'm of the opinion that everything should be as close to the metal as possible, while still allowing you to work at arbitrarily higher levels of abstraction.

some things don't need to be handled so closely, this is why i agree with the Go approach of memory management, and the way in Go that if you need to bypass this system it is simple to write your own schedulers and cache managers, again, when you need to, you can tickle the hardware, but most of the time you can work on the level of abstraction that is most efficient and suited for reasoning about the task.

i just discovered the linux app "Video Downloader" pulls whole albums from bandcamp, all tags intact.

listening to old tracks from the dutch industrial band 'grendel' this morning made me realize that why i like this style so much is it is like mashing together punk, gothic and psytrance music together.

all forms of trauma anchoring, aka brain washing, reduce IQ.

cults are always stupid and useless, like in the cliche of bad guys' crews because they have had their creativity beaten out of them.

exactly my thought. the drive should go to a set of wheels in the center before the trailer. the tray would still be heavy enough to tilt the whole thing down for the loading. it's just gonna be simpler this way, the rear part is then just a trailer with a slider that tips the whole thing down.

it is quite elegant but merging the drive with the tilting hinge at the centre is too far.

the only thing I don't like about it is the drive should really be on the rear of the forward part just before the hinge.

front wheel drive, as it must be, is putting the torque way too far from the load, it would be more prone to slipping with high torque because the weight is so far away from it, if the load is too high it would not be able to get moving without traction assistance like throwing gravel under the front wheels, and once it gets going it would be very prone to slipping unless you move the drive to the hinge.

the giant tray back would still lift the whole body even if there was a trannie and extra set of wheels there.

mambo low...

unless it's bulk cpu/gpu bound processing latency should be in the nanoseconds above the lightspeed limit.

the cramps just happen from fatigue and heavy loading. yes, the muscles are like as though they are constantly in bad fatigue state. i'm pretty sure that is partly from the low pH from caffeine, and a secondary effect from changing my magnesium metabolism.

the brainwashing that these things are good for you is the worst and hardest part of breaking the habit, even when your symptoms from their damage are so bad you are, like i was, literally losing your vision, your ability to walk even...

and it's not just stuff we eat and drink and inhale, i also have put down the phone and stopped using it, i don't even have a nostr client on it and don't run any chat clients on it anymore and in fact, avoid taking it with me unless i'm going to really unfamiliar places.

yeah, i think it definitely calms the nerves and helps alkalinise the blood. i've had problems with cramping for quite a few years now, and now after 2, must be nearly 3 weeks caffeine free and now a week of regular cacao i am starting to not get those cramps all the time.

i think the uric acid from the caffeine definitely reduces magnesium absorption, and that also leads to bone thinning and nervous problems as well.

every so often i bump into people who whine about bitcoin maxi culture and the traditionalist strain of which many of them are just retarded authoritarian influencoors, and many maxis are just got social network diarrhea.

but there is some facts in all this.

fiat food is poison.

fiat culture is poison and perversion and fraud.

normalising abnormality is a road to decadence and decay and doesn't build character.

if you want to improve the state of the culture, do your own research and expand upon the things that really matter within it, like why is the carnivore/paleo diet important, which parts of it are legit important and which are just fads.

let's have a conversation about the psychological and biological factors involved in "sexual preference" and the matter of psychological manipulation, sexual abuse and mind control.

there is plenty of research you can do from cult busters and other sources that really will open your eyes.

it might seem to your hurting normie eyes like we are repeating the same things and maybe a lot of folk in here are kinda dumb and are just repeating the same memes with minimal understanding of it, but some of us are living and breathing this and have used this knowledge to actually solve our own problems.

i would be blind and incapable of working if i hadn't quit eating grains and carbs and seed oils and chemical additives.

literally i was losing my vision. i was losing my ability to gain even a tiny amount of improvement of my fitness. my mental faculties were declining rapidly. it happens that i am also at a point where my hormone levels are dropping due to my age, but despite this, i have found ways to recover my health again, and i'm avidly pursuing them, with what meagre resources i have to hand.

i'm doing my own experiments on my own body, right now, due to having nearly no money, drinking 3L of milk a day, working out whenever i can, currently experimenting with cacao, getting amazing results. walking typically 10 miles a day, having trouble sitting still to let my poor feet recover as they are clad in super minimal barefoot shoes and the repetitive flat surfaces are taking a big toll on my foot pads.

my life is getting better rapidly, and my work output is improving.

i'm so glad to have nostr now too, i hear what is going on at facebook and x and so forth and i could not stomach the shit that is spewing from these sewer pipes of cultural vomit.

there might be a little bit of retardation prominently visible here due to its high volume and frequency of output, but you are gonna have to learn to curate your feed, to put up with a bit of crap to find the good stuff until, like my feed is now, it's almost consistently worth reading.

people have had their decisions made for them for so long they are unable to make decisions any more.

welcome, to the real world.

you've never used those decision muscles before, of course its' going to hurt and seem like the place is a cesspit of mysoginists posting memes of pepe and goodfellas laughing with laser eyes.

that was the same back in bitcoin twitter too, but you could drill down and find better stuff, but the quality was hard to access then.

here, it's just a matter of persistence. nobody's going to suddenly shadowban or outright suspend anyone.

nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m I'm not sure what you are talking about.

I really, really want to like #nostr, the tech is interesting. But every time I open my client every other post reeks of cryptobro anarcoliberism and toxic masculinity and I. Just. Can't.

nobody curates your feed except you and the client you use.

people are really unused to not having their decisions made for them. me, i got fed up with decisions being made for me 12 years ago and i'm glad to finally have control.

well, just the 100% cacao powder. obviously extra points if it's organic. mine says "rainforest alliance".

nah, no sugar, just milk. milk has lactose in it so it's still a bit sweet. you acquire a taste for the chocolate pretty fast once you get used to it, and it has really good nutrients in it, unlike coffee, which has nearly literally nothing in it.

the withdrawal is really nothing, but i'm not sure you are aware how long lasting the metabolites are.

i had a condition called "gout" some years back that was related to dehydration and caffeine metabolism. it blocks up fine capillaries all over your body especially your skin.

i have again been seeing this, and gradually the blood vessels are clearing out. i've also been having odd problems with my teeth and part of that has been related to the way that caffeine's metabolites literally clog up your fine blood vessels.

caffeine is nasty stuff, a lot more nasty than you'd think. almost all of it turns into uric acid and clogs up your blood and kidneys for weeks after you stop.

this is also why many people are addicted to both caffeine and alcohol, as the alcohol thins the blood and reduces the bad side effects of chronic caffeine use.
