Perhaps I am missing something. Does Elon own the deposit? Lithium mined in the US would be likely to be even more expensive than lithium from elsewhere and would take some time to develop the mine. Tesla has been hurt a great deal by his foray in politics and by the tariffs. So why would it be Elon's massive payday?

How you figure? It goes up from where you bought it. Sell maybe 10%. When it goes down again buy more with proceeds from what you sold. Rinse and repeat. You end up with a lot more sats.
Not taking some profit off the table and reinvesting on downturns is not very rational. Investing on belief alone is seldom profitable.

Sell 1000. Buy a house or two. Start a vanity business/foundation or two for things I care about but may or may not make money. Buy my own AI farm. Travel. Convert some of the rest to other mainly privacy coins. Invest in the best longevity program I can find. Figure out what the hell I really want to do when money is not a problem.
I don't trust Apple all that much after working for them over a decade ago for some years. I trust X or rather Musk even less.
