Nice list, especially for new users. I'd add Zorin OS for people coming from Windows, macOS users will probably feel at home in ElementaryOS.
However I do not agree with listing Android as mobile Linux. Their kernel is based/forked from the Linux kernel, but none of my Linux apps will run on it. Mobian (Debian based) and postmarketOS (Alpine Linux based) I would recommend. However because of missing drivers their is a very limited selection of devices you can use to try it out βοΈπ

the main reason it caught my attention is that it supports my crispy fresh new RX 7800 XT - fully - although what it installs adds an "upgrade" kernel that b0rked the result... but it loads off the live usb with proper credentials on the video output not just llvmpipe framebuffer

Agreed, but when how fast will they update to Zorin OS 18? Because just ~3 months ago they released 17, based on Ubuntu 22.04 (released in April of 2022) with 24.04 about to be released in just 2 months.
I know they have been working hard on their upgrading software with the previous release, but I still hope they don't "wait" another 2 years for the next release π€
I think the confusion is because Key is used for both the private and the public part. Maybe renaming the public "key" to Public Lock would help a ton, to differentiate between the public and private parts (π). Everyone "locks" messages for you with the Public Lock you gave them, your Private Key can unlock those messages (π+ π = π)

If you are willing to learn a new tool you can look at Darktable and Rawtherapee as alternatives for Lightroom. AFAIK is GIMP the best alternative to Photoshop, however they still don't have nondestructive editing π
What kind of programs do you use? While it is true that not all programs you have used in Windows are available/functional (Wine (with Bottles) or native Linux apps), there are plenty of alternatives that do work.
