I wonder how Craig came up with the name "satoshi"
Yes, as my cranial matter leaked onto the carpet I passed on my final words to my spouse, "hodl you fool!"
Dollar milkshake theory, aka strong-dollar. The meme necessary for hyperbitcoinization hasn't evolved yet, and the space between that meme being born and hyperbitcoinization will be so fast you'll miss it if you take a weekend off of using your phone.
Twice. I put everything together, tamper sealed it, got a cup of coffee and ran a drill on myself. Then I made my spouse do it too. It worked, no need to create additional vulnerabilities by pulling it out all the time.
Too late to party? The bitcoin community is growing memetically stagnant. It took an actual bitcoin adversary to give us one of the most prolific pieces of bitcoin art ever created. We need more punk rock, heavy metal, drugs, and skanks. If I had kids they wouldn't find us very cool.
I paid for my VPN with conjoined bitcoin without any KYC. Using 2 hop, all my traffic goes through Switzerland which has strict privacy laws about not revealing VPN customer IPs. Secure core also pads packets to make deep packet inspection useless.
Not saying this is the world I want to live in, but these people are way behind the 8 ball.
How do I put this, it takes a special kind of person to engage in military maneuvers. I give you an order to go around back of the building and flush them out; you get there and find anything but an unguarded door, now what? You are too close to them to radio, and we are depending on you to flush them out. Most people really aren't capable of dealing with that, when things don't go as planned, or they get shook up and expect the plan to have changed when it hasn't.
The people that are good at it aren't much of conformist types, they are crude and rude and can get very beligerant about things. All the types of people that have been pushed out, shit, I don't like them either, but I'd rather have them on my side than against me.

I'll check it out
Except, its not, for bitcoin we have created clever ways of leveraging phones secure element, or using a hardware wallet. Its not unique to amethyst, but the key management really needs to be cleaned up. Imagine having to punch in your bitcoin private key every time you have to log into your hardware wallet, there are numerous security flaws in that. Amethyst should create a secret that my secure element can sign and send back, or let me use a yubi key or something.
I don't know what other clients have, but I don't like the idea of having to copy paste my nsec in amethyst.
I have burned every bridge back to Microsoft/google/Facebook land, I am graphene and Ubuntu 100% of the way. UX is underrated, I completely understand why people use Macs and Iphones, even windows makes settings difficult to find and change.
Bitcoin is the most widely distributed network in the world, running on several different distributions of software that are based on multiple implementations of the core process, which runs on many different configurations of hardware, powered by every source of power humans have access to, in probably every country on earth. Using bitcoin for transactional or wealth preservation purposes requires minimal electricity that could be provided by anything from a portable solar panel to a hand crank generator.
We, as humans, will be living in caves and eating eachother before the bitcoin network fails.
I think there is a circular logic that smart people can get lured into, its like that "I don't know what x is and at this point I'm too afraid to ask" meme.
It starts with a politician or media host saying something like "we can provide every american quality healthcare". Its said with such confidence that smart people believe there is a plan whereby this could be accomplished, we are going to tax all of X, we are going to invest in Y infrastructure, we are going to hire Z people.
There is no such plan. They took the median cost of healthcare that a hospital pays, and they multiplied it by the population. There is no accounting for the pricing system, there's no interest into how breakthroughs happen, there's no hard look at unnecessary cost.
So yes, they do believe it, and they are either dumb as a rock, lying, or repeating something said by a person with more influence than them.
Feeling adversarial today?
Chokepoint 2 will certainly make things difficult. A CBDC to boot, they'll make bitcoin difficult to get in and out of; you might have the economic value of $10 million, but you'll only be able to use it for small purchases, you can't buy a house or car with it.
If gold is then still a legal alternative, that would make bitcoins value proposition strained. If its all about protecting your wealth, they could make gold a better asset, and bitcoin would cede value.
From there the bitcoin mining industry collapses and the government buys the mining equipment and holds majority hashpower, they censor all blocks that they aren't mining. Even if everyone gets together and switches algorithms, the chip supply has been centralized by huge government deals already, they'll outhash anything we create.
The closest I see this plan to working, is mega default dries up all dollars over night. Banks are still asking for mortgages but you aren't getting paid. Anyone up to the ears in debt (guilty...) Will be offered a rollover loan to a CBDC denominated mortgage.
I don't think people are going to buy that. Too many guns and pissed off people that tell them to go fuck themselves, if they want to repo a home they'll have to kill the people inside.
They'll probably convince a sizable population, just like the vaccine mandates they never needed to fully take effect, that might be an issue to think about...
Fair enough, buy give "the creature from Jekyll island" a read.
I think policy by policy has been too the T. What they didn't consider, which is what they never consider, is the cost.
Them getting their way has galvanized a (hopefully) critical mass of resistance. The rest of the world is abandoning us, and they have blown a dangerous amount of political capital domestically.
How kind of them to draw up our very own pirate flag, you know that's real nice of them to make this.
That things dope, a necklace, a tshirt, a wallpaper for my computer at work, a 3d printed figure for NY desk.
