I have frequent seasonal power outaged and in consequence my channel partners punished me with unilateral closures. This experience, the fees, the necessary knowledge, and maintenance involved made me hope for an improved layer 2 to see instant cheap and anonymous payments become easier to truly self-custody and operate.
As a result lf this experience I learned to appreciate again Bitcoin's base layer.

Without trying to do a trinitarian heresy here, is not the Holy Spirit kind of the 'protocol' or central authority that connects the seemingly separate parts of the 66 books? Likewise churches may appear quite decentralized with their many differences, but as long as they are orthodox and faithful churches of Christ, they serve one master, one central authority, one king, and one husband - The Lord Jesus Christ.

Something I was totally unequipped for before becoming happily married: understanding the natural differences of men and women in libido.

People become corrupted when they lie to themselves and others. It you have the presence of mind to catch your lies you can start to turn the world around.
The more we lie and the less we catch ourselves the more we turn the world into "Hell".
In order to catch the lie and have that presence of mind we must do internal work in the Jungian sense in order to know ourselves well enough to catch us in the act of lying.

First put yourself together and then go forth and change the world starting small with your own family, relationships, job, community and then wider society. If you start the other way around you end up in the place of the Woke Political left. Scared people freaking out about the world (inequality, pronouns, climate change etc). While they have correctly identified the problem(s) they have incorrectly landed on a solution.
A good example is in the #bitcoin community. I saw someone on Twitter saying inheritance tax needs to be larger but if they had first looked internally and understood they were being lied to about inflation and fiat money system then they would not have landed on 'tax more' as the solution to inequality. They would have landed on 'promote hard assets' instead. And #btc is the king of hard assets as it is backed by decentralized node operators and physics in its energy backed creation of Bitcoin 'monetary tokens'. When we tell the truth about money we can end up in a world where prices decrease ie deflation

One of the most replicatable phenomenons in the discipline of #psychology is the undeniable effectiveness of prolonged exposure therapy, coming out of the behaviour sciences. If you have conditioned avoidance to a stimulus based on a bad experience with it, the only cure to that fear and subsequent avoidance is a progressive safe re-exposure to that thing again to re-train your brain with a positively different association. This cure applies to developed fear of:
• Environments
• People
• Food
• Animals
• + more
Your mind will tell you to avoid exposure, but if you know better life is on the other side of this barrier, you must cognitively distance from this thought, buckle up, and do what matters. The alternative is watching a better life go by the wayside - your mind will point it out to you, too. In this way, avoiding pain creates a pain feedback loop.

Fascinatingly, we also have pre-conditioned aversion to some things such as spiders, some would-be foods, and snakes. It's not all tabula rasa in the human brain. Some of our responses are innate and usually very beneficial for our survival.
