The opposite of globalist.

I can’t leave you a link, but my favourite memory of this song was a spontaneous rendition in a small cafe on the water with one guy on the piano singing, everyone in the place joined in and it was just the most magical experience. It’s the best as a participant.

Just finished the latest Lex episode, vaguely surprised at how engaging and “human” Zuckerberg came across this time. Interesting listen.

Yes, Mark Yusko. Possibly on Pomp’s podcast, possibly on Twitter. Around 2019 with BTC under 10k.

Pomp has jumped the shark since, but did many (including myself) a valuable service back then. And Yusko has been (and remains) solid throughout.

I appreciate the sticker selection from bitcoin.rocks, but am really looking for a good supply of “Bitcoin Fixes This” stickers with which to counter the rash of “15 Minute City Ready” decorations recently applied to my city’s road signage.

Any recommends?

Gem from the All-In podcast this week:

“As of this month, the Federal Government is spending more on servicing the national debt than on national defence”

Just the 11% city tax rise this year on top of a perfectly normal 23% rise last year.

Wearing my fave hoodie today. Not sure if they are on #nostr, but can recommend agorathreads.com. Presently looking for something understated with an Austrian Economics legend - if you have any other decent apparel vendors you can shill me, please do!

No-mow May going well now the sun is out. I love this time of year; butterflies, bees and bare feet.

Long after the shark-jump, there’s generally an exponential peak of complete nonsense before the unwind begins.

During the BP Deepwater Horizon spill there was an article from a Serious Outlet(tm) suggesting it would gush forever due to ongoing formation of new oil in the tapped field.

During the recent vaxorama, there was a headline from another Serious Outlet(tm) suggesting that, in addition to preventing COVID, the shots also miraculously improved general health outcomes and cured unrelated conditions. Does anyone remember this / have it in their nonsense scrapbook from 21/22?

The ageing curve is so weird. Looking at photos of our kids: in the last three years my wife and I are essentially unchanged while our children have become completely different humans.

Not to mention the runaway climate crisis that will see the next generation skiing at Aspen and Val d'Isère very much like their terribly concerned parents and grandparents once did.

It’s kinda nice that the privacy apps are gravitating toward purple: Damus looks good next to Proton on my Home Screen.

Ah, sunshine, welcome back my friend!
