Politics divides. Trade brings people together. Destroy political power & set trade free.

So you're saying the US should bomb Israel to match the others? They didn't get that way on their own.

Honestly, there are all sorts of "homeless" people who function quite well, but if they are the sort who are so dysfunctional that they stay drugged up or they shit on the sidewalk or they are just mentally ill, why would you want those people to vote?

I mean, it would certainly be nice for there to be ways for people to get the help they need to be a functioning member of society, no matter what their situation may be, but I don't see why they would give a shit about voting one way or the other, unless someone is bribing them & driving them to the polls or bringing them mail in ballots to fill out (which the left definitely does).

I do think some way to validate a person's identity needs to exist if we are going to have a govt at all, & one of the primary reasons it would make sense to do so is to be able to validate different forms of engagement with govt programs & decision making schemes like voting.

But without a govt, & without the need for any sort of voting, I think reputation based on some sort of voluntary key based ID system would be fine for most things.

I honestly think the sort of people who see the "poor" as unable to do something as basic as get an ID are among the most delusional & bigoted people on the planet.

Again, I have worked with some of the poorest & least educated people, (one literally ended up dying in a trailer alone with no electricity), & they all had ID.

Democracy, when it's honest (which is almost never), is lowest common denominator mob rule. It's pure garbage.

But the idea that validating voters is some sort of evil sounds absolutely ridiculous to me... Can you explain why you think that? I don't know anyone, poorest of the poor, dumbest of the dumb (I worked construction in a rural area), who is a citizen & doesn't have some form of ID. Do you think non-citizens should be able to vote?

You can sell most metals to a recycling place of some sort.

Not a dev, but Pear runtime is now open, the Keet UI layer will be too, & there will be a protocol spec soon. It uses a DHT for connections like BitTorrent. Files when first posted aren't available unless peers are online.

It is funded by the Tether people who, despite govt attacks & social media FUD, have proven they run everything very conservatively. They provide a way to move dollar based tokens outside of the banking system, which despite being a shitcoin of a shitcoin is very useful given the world we currently live in.

They are very pro-bitcoin and would like to disrupt/kill web 2.0 in order to prevent the censorship & propaganda problems which currently infect everything. I think their software stack has the power to do that.

"...the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense."

We have the tools to change the patterns of history.

You should only recycle things that people will pay you to recycle. The payment signifies that there is some actual resource savings to be had from doing so.

The "green" religion is just a totally criminal effort to tax all life & all production.

Communism is mostly just a philosophy developed/adopted to sell slavery to the slaves. The people who promote it (at all levels of society) always want to live at the expense of others (& Marx certainly was too). The poor person what wants communism has more in common with the corp oligarch who wants a political structure that serves him at the expense of others than either of them have in common with people who want to produce & trade value for value.

The sort of basic economic understanding that most people are missing:

I agree, only there are theoretically some fairly efficient external combustion engines which might actually power things one day, so maybe electrics should be called exogenous combustion vehicles or remote combustion vehicles 🤔

We definitely don't know anything for sure, but the US national debt has more than doubled in the last 10 years. It nearly tripled the decade before that, and almost doubled the decade before that. I think these things tend to accelerate, so I may have been a bit too conservative. Basically just new debt divided by Bitcoin that will be issued.

Over the next 10 years roughly $27,000,000 will be created for every one new #Bitcoin that gets unlocked.

And you are both just clearly wrong. The proof is that there are times & places where people have been free & prosperous, & the difference between what we have now & those other times/places is the govt power that large special interests have to control & hide behind. Societies always collapse under too much govt. The politicians are the richest people in Venezuela & most other corrupt & collapsing societies. Govt is just institutionalized crime.

Walmart can't build an army without people fighting walmart & refusing to do business with them, but they can buy political influence & weaponize the cops & tax authorities against people to extract your wealth without most knowing it is being done.

The original script was so much better.

We build new bacteria this way. So billions of years, trillions upon trillions of iterations later (with the majority front loaded) it's a reasonable way to see things.
