Shouldn’t we consider all posts permanent until webs of trust develop in private channels. A new user may have a false sense of security thinking something isn’t permanent. It’s out there, and will be collected if it can be collected.
Sort of presses on a need for private torrents/galaxies/channels so people can distinguish the difference. Public commons vs encrypted webs of trust.
TTLs would be extremely useful! They just don’t protect against surveillance and to some extent permanency.
Just heard the audible. Great article! As the utility of this paradigm shift supersedes the orange pill mentality we should be prepared for a rip-your-face off moment.
So much left to the market. Although scary, it’s the final arbiter in the end. May as we’ll consult it first.
I agree, but if we set a timer on a note would we then have a choice to cancel the TTL in order to save the conversation?
Maybe Time To Live that checks for a permanence by the note’s owner. Idk - shooting from the hip here. I see context for both situations.
You may decide something is worth saving After it’s posted. Often reasons people repost content.
It’s awful. I don’t know anyone that hasn’t been affected by breast cancer in some way.
I remember researching dense vs fatty tissue scans, and gamma cameras couldn’t pass approval process and wasn’t covered by insurance. Is this still the case? Have gamma cameras proven helpful?
I’m struggling with it being a bug and not a feature. Serious question. Can it be both?
I can think of many things I wish I could take back, but some brought growth and understanding. Bad takes that don’t age well, or notes containing incredible conversations possibly lost.
I’m not sure how I’ll feel about this post in the morning. I hope I can still delete it.
GM/PV/WS Seth. Liking the vibe!!
✌️ ☕️ ☀️
Actually his point. You put the item back in the place you first looked.
Good morning! Imagining a Starbucks counter at your local Victorias Secret.
I use mine both personally and as Uncle Jim model. By providing services and/or getting family going with their own. Just getting someone on VaultWarden is a big step up for their sovereignty.
#[4] team is excellent and it’s a model that can bring FOSS to the masses.
Others were just great advice intermixed that required a quick program change.
Had to laugh at having to search for something I’ve lost in the house and then putting it back in that place. 🤦♂️
I think that’s the definition of insanity, and have done it many times.
Heard an interview with him before. Listed to yours yesterday, bought and read the book! Very good! Definitely a great coffee table book. While I finished it in one sitting, I felt I needed time to reflect on them one at a time. Maybe pick a few, put to practice and pick it up again. Very actionable advise.
Highly recommend people listen!
Yes to all the above. Theobromine, prefer through chocolate, but no bueno. Don’t need the extra sugar. Lol. Just keep it away from doggos. Ended up just adding raw cocoa to coffee with MCT from time to time. Trying to get back to cold and breathing.
So sorry to hear. Somebody mentioned recovery tools. If it’s still possible you will want to kill power, pull the drives, and make a hash verified copy of the drive. 😔
