The latest update v3.4.2 has some nice new features that helped me when problem solving it today

There is now a nice green/red lit badge in the upper right corner that shows if your tor proxy is connected 🟢

Here is how nostr:nprofile1qqs827g8dkd07zjvlhh60csytujgd3l9mz7x807xk3fewge7rwlukxgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejz772u5wm helped me solve my issue of not being able to connect Amber to a relay with bunker ability: turn off/ turn on network permissions in the app settings 🤪

If you have been having notifications of your Amber relay being disconnected check your permission settings in Amber and toggle the network permission. I currently have nostr:nprofile1qqst94nsmefmya53crp5qq39kewrtgndqcynhnzp7j8lcu0qjple6jspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8qunfd4skctnwv46q7z4e8a relay in my active relay settings in Amber.

My current nostr setup is as follows:

#Citrine a nostr relay on the Android phone

#Amber a nostr nsec bunker/signer app for Android

#Amethyst THE nostr client for Android

Citrine runs locally on the phone and is in my local relay and search relay boxes in Amethyst. Citrine is also placed in Amber for profile info.

Amber is the only app that has my nsec. It runs on the phone and connects over tor. I sign into Amethyst with Amber. All my events are individually signed by Amber.

Amethsyt runs over Tor as well. Orbot runs locally on the phone and creates a system wide proxy by using the "power user" option. That way you can still run Mullvad VPN on the phone but use Orbot to open SOCKS proxy ports for other apps to connect with.

Amber also works (again) as a remote signing device.

Any client that has nostr connect string or qr code or that has nip46 can be logged into with Amber. I like using Amber on my Android as a remote signer for desktop clients on my thinkpad. The thinkpad never has my keys and no one can do anything on nostr desktop without me needing to sign for it on my phone!

I tried this verison of Amber with and without tor/orbot and it doesn't let me add any relay. Gives me an EACCESS error permission denied

I updated orbot added citrine, amber and amethsyt to orbot apps

Added amber to use tor/orbot

Added amethyst to tor/orbot

closed out apps

restarted phone

checked orbot connected

Amber shows red badge upper right corner and says there is proxy error and to check proxy settings.

Orbot is set to defaults and 9050

But it didn't work without all the tor either? Can't add a relay.

I am using internal tor on Amethyst so maybe there is a conflict.

I have only briefly used gemini chat to offer cli commands for projects so my experience is limited.

The main thing that seems off to me is that the back and forth is me copy pasta.

I realized that what I seem to want is the AI to see the outcomes of the commands and offer responses without me pasting away. So a local AI on the device put to work to create an outcome is much more useful long term.

Perhaps this is more a rational agent than just an LLM that I would prefer.

There is obvious privacy issues. Some kind of Maple encrypted local agent that acts on your behalf to problem solve and develop the stated goals is what I want.

AI should be much more like a loyal subject not a foreign interloper.

I like it. I was always a fan of Sparrow Server. So that was a fun fork. I like terminal GUI. Feels punk.

Running Ashigaru Terminal on a thinkpad looks the best. The start9 sideload was just dropped by Jordan of misfits

It doesn't look as clean in the display as it works as a browser start9 style but maybe thats just my thinkpad

I set up Ashigaru Terminal on the start9 for headless server constant mixing. I also set it up in a tmux session that runs on boot on the laptop.

I liked sparrows ux for whirlpool back when. The samourai wallet didn't show as much fun details. The OG whirlpool cli was better but didn't have what Sparrow had. RoninDojo then took the whirlpool interface so far that I removed whirlpool cli and stopped using sparrow ux for it.

Sadly the Ronin crew removed all whirlpool like sparrow. Running whirlpool on a 24/7 server is the best way to get as many remixes as possible.

Back when, I ran two implementations at the same time using odd and even derivation paths, mixing the same wallet in Sparrow and on whirlpool cli off my same node.

I wish there was an ARM64 version not just x86 because Ashigaru Terminal would be perfect to run on a ubuntu server raspberry pi and not have it on any other sever.

Great to have this program back. One of the best in Bitcoin. So much functionality in the post mix tools. My favorite being "mix-to".

Sweeping implies that funds sent to a deposit address in Ashigaru Terminal can be taken by devs without an action by the user. This is simply not true.

Perhaps theoretically as you are describing, UPON THE USER INITIATING a Tx0 then the fee MAY be able to be manipulated to equal the entire Tx0. That is very different from simply having a deposit wallet drained without a user action. Do you understand the difference?

I think it had to do with that originally they were just wallet devs. They had registered some companies long ago under their real names and had some funding. Over time they developed better and better tools. One thing is that they haven't broken any laws though. So if I was to start a comany and have lawyers tell me I am not breaking the law and the regulators say I don't need a license then there really I wouldn't need to be anon.
