Thanks. We had a moment where it wasn’t starting and I didn’t know what to do. Then we realized we had the fuel shut off, lol.

I got my grandparents tractor going again, big win for me. My dad was down helping brush hog and ran it out of diesel. All we had to do was loosen lines to get fuel to flow again.

If I had to figure that out 1 year ago I would be stuck. I am super excited about the knowledge gain from the last year.

On to more learning and work.

Here is an introduction to the Farmall Cub. I want to do videos on all the work I do, if I am able, but I wanted to introduce people to it it first.

I even get into a bit of a discussion about whether it might be right for your homestead.

If you are interested check it out.

If we will never find out who owned the cocaine in the White House I think we know whose it was. šŸ˜‚ watching this drama play out is hilarious. šŸæ

I released a new video on YouTube today about using spray emitters with your drip irrigation system.

I don't like straight drip because the locatino of my plants move year to year, so I wanted to spray. However, with raised beds the solutions haven't been great so I finally figured out polytube, and spray emitters.

In the video I walk through using them, and show putting them in place, and a bit on how I organized them. I am surprised there hasn't been more videos on how to do this so I diceded to fill that gap.

The slide is up and the kids love it. It went decently well building it. My other kids wanted to help so it got real crazy real fast.

Not sure if they enjoyed it or got anything out of it, but I will assume they did.

If nothing else they saw how things are built to put that little nugget in their head.

It was also super hot in the sun so that added to the fun 🤣

On to the next project.

I was on the fence about asking if she wanted to, but was trying to think through how can we stay busy and she won’t get bored while I cut wood, heh.

I’ll probably ask and see how it goes.

I am building a platform for the kids play set to add the slide to. My daughter really wanted to help, which I am not good at.

So I took this evening and precut everything so all she needs to help do is line things up and make sure we are square.

I am also hoping this goes quick enough it holds her attention. If nothing else I’ll get it done faster.

It has been a learning experience for me to try to include my kids in projects. We will see how it goes.

Got the container leveled finally. Had the time, weather and tools. Only took an hour but now I can load it up and get crap out of my shop.

If you are looking for a legit company I took a chance on https://usedconex.com/ and it worked out.

We are going to have a few tomato’s at some point. Glad to see these are finally growing.

The 21-Foot Handgun Drill is Bullshit, Always Has Been

This drill unfolds as follows: a guy with a knife in hand initiates an attack and usually "wins", meaning he touches the gun guy with a fake knife before the gun guy can fake shoot the knife guy.

As if that is a "kill". As if the gun guy can't now shoot the knife guy many, many times. But that isn't even the real bullshit.

Have the knife guy put the knife in a scabbard, and let the gun guy initiate the attack. The bull šŸ’© becomes instantly obvious. The real lesson is that the attacker, in all situations, tends to have the advantage. This is true from a street attack all the way up to state-on-state military conflict.

The attacker doesn't always win but, statistically, wins far more often than not. Look at every major war in history, and you'll see this is the case. In fact, the nations that we often say "lost" — like Germany in WWII — only lost when they stopped being the attacker and became the defender.

Some reading this won't like it because it grates against the "taught truth", but the taught truth is taught because it's seldom simply true. It is, instead, a construct that generally is false. In many instances, it's the truth hiding in a lie, as it is here.

What the drill should teach you is that having a gun doesn't guarantee you'll survive or win in a fight, even if your attacker doesn't have one. Substitute a hammer for the knife, and the attack becomes even more potentially deadly. You're more likely to survive a stab wound than a blow to the head with a ball peen hammer that can be bought in any hardware store for under 20 bucks.

You could be a Navy SEAL, a Green Beret — it doesn't matter. If someone wants you dead and you don't know it, you're likely dead. The most badass soldier you know can be approached from behind and hit in the head, resulting in death in less than a second. People hate this type of truth because it makes them realize how at risk they really are. That's the point of the 21-foot drill, but most people who teach it don't understand the real lesson.

That is what stress to people when talking self defense. There is a limit. Someone can walk past you on the street do three or four quick jabs as they pass and you will likely be dead, if not you will have a bad time. And if they did it well you might never know who did it.

I just spent the last 2 days replacing the radiator on our mower.

It is now changed and running, but wow did it suck getting it going. Also extra aggravating that 2 days of my vacation were spent on this.

Hopefully this is the last fixing of the season. I am going to put some more time into getting my cub running so I have it as a backup.
