A lot of people would rather complain about sitting in their own shit instead of getting up and washing off their ass.

I am still to see a NIP that aims to make "trending" obsolete.
"Shit don't change until you get up and wash your ass."

Ah, cool. I've used snort for a while too. It's great that they also did a shiny UI update.
Good to also see that they have trending list (great to have some content that a non-nostr user can explore before creating an account).
I wonder how they curate their trending notes. π€

What nostr client would you recommend outside of the one or two clients you deem as being problematic?
How much impressions have you made on none primal.net users who will one day forget what you were even saying and just use it since they haven't heard much about other clients from you?
You should recommend Twitter more often.
So which client would you recommend to 90% of the normies on nostr that are more comfortable with a shiny UI and don't truly care about censorship resistance?
## Nostree release note
### v.0.1.3 "What The Fork?!"
I had a lot of doubts about what to call this version, I had several names on the table, including "Oh My Fork", "Mother Fork", "Forking Good", "Forking Bad", but in the end it was "What The Fork?!". And that is the main addition to nostree for this release, now you can fork the interesting lists you find. Apart from that, a lot of usability improvements and bug fixes. We will unpack these little by little.
But before remember that if you like the project and want to see it continue to grow, you can consider contributing, either with zaps, feedback, ideas, prs to the project, etc.
Forking lists means that, for example, if you see an interesting list and want to add or remove references and add it to your profile, you can now do so in an easy way. For example, nostr:nprofile1qqs87hptfey2p607ef36g6cnekuzfz05qgpe34s2ypc2j6x24qvdwhgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgswaehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv5q3samnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarjv96xjtnrdaksupau3d has an interesting list called bitcoin-books ( https://nostree.me/tony@bitcoin-herald.org/bitcoin-books )

and I want to use the information he already has but add some more elements. When logged in, I would simply go to the list, click on the drawer button of the right and here I would have the option to fork the list.

At this point, on the same page, you can edit the list, or just hit publish to make the fork.

When the fork is complete, the forked list will appear on your profile.

You may notice that the forked lists have a fork icon, which indicates that it is a fork, and if you click on it it will give you information about the fork and even a button to navigate to the original list.

ui/ux improvements: There are also several new features in this section that will make life easier and more intuitive for nostree users. The lists now have an improved interface, the main news is that the same way you can do a fork by pressing the fork button, if the list is yours, that fork button becomes an edit button and you can edit the lists on the same page.
This makes editing lists much more intuitive. I also added some new buttons, these are for adding items above the list or below the list.

And these are for moving items up or down in the list.

As well as these buttons, there is also something new to help you navigate user profiles. Now, if the user has more than one list under their profile, a list button will appear which will open a menu showing all the lists they have, so you can jump from one to another without having to go through each one to see all the lists for that user. This menu appears when you click on the list icon on the left.

Another new feature is that nostree now supports nprofile entities to open user profiles. One more step towards interoperability between nostree applications!
Apart from that, several bugs and styles have been fixed.
That's all! now let's fork and share, information and knowledge should be free, collaborative and uncensurable. I hope you enjoy this update, which has brought fork and many improvements to the user experience. Remember that nostree has a nostr:nprofile1qqstdhxam7rxw5586xjwscsdj24fqhp93kzsh7xvjg7nnhc7mlh9aecprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskueq4jjp6r page where you can help the project continue to grow. In addition and as an incentive, you can buy a nostree nostr address (nip05) on the geyser page. This way you can help the project and have a nice nostr address. https://geyser.fund/project/nostree
Thanks y'all!π
Can I get to toggle whether something is publicly listed on my profile or not?
