Absolutely true. I just hope people will build following their heart and communities feedback in order to work in things that bring value to themself and others.
Everybody have hobbies which goal is to bring joy to themself doing something you like but you are maybe not so good at and then work which in opposite, its main goal is giving value to others doing something you probably don't like as much but you are particulary good at.
I'm just a afraid people misunderstood v4v and its proposition because they think that this is a way to live just off their "hobbies".
I think that putting a price is different than putting value. The beautiful thing about thinking in satoshis is that we are giving away something that is more than money but is also value, energy and time.
Regarding your position in tipping posts, I understand that an artist is less interested in other artists products because that's the kind of value you give to yourself so you don't need to get it from someone else.
I like to tip posts I personally like because of the feedback I give back to the person, hoping that it incentivize him to do more of that work.

I like it but it could be delusional for some people. We cannot pretend that everything we built will ever get attention because of the market we are in.
If they do not come, you could just be in the wrong place or trying to giving away something that do not get attention.
So build something other people value as much as you.
As Quentin I think too that's a cultural problem. And I think that the value 4 value concept is so basic that in a long time frame and with the right tool (bitcoin) it will absolutely win, it's so natural.
With every interaction we give something for something, something we value for something some one else value.
If you take out coercion and theft, value 4 value it's what moves the world.
The only thing I would add is that, we cannot pretend to get something when we give out useful information. When information are shared it's already too late to get something back for it. The only thing you can look into are donations from people that value your work and want more from you.
If you think, when you are paying for a subscription plan you are paying to support the future work of an artist, you are not paying for the work he already have done. Morally and phisically it does not make sense to pay to get informations that have already been created and shared. But it does make sense to give money (time and energy) to someone that can give you back value in a way you cannot give it to yourself.

Tonight I'm contemplating my #nostr story💜
It feels like the past 2 years, maybe longer, I had been searching for an alternative to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I tried a few things, Mighty Networks, Minds, some other apps that I probably didn't get past signing up for. They all felt like they were the same, just doing things a little differently. Maybe like, recreating the existing crap I was trying to get away from. 💯
In January, 2023, I wrote in my journal that I wanted to start from zero. I wanted to start a completely fresh slate. I couldn't decide if that meant deleting Facebook, starting a new IG account or what that would look like. I questioned if I even wanted to rebuild on platforms that already weren't what I aligned with. 🤔
Roll on February, 2023. My hubby and I were sitting in a cafe in Phu Quoc. Hubby noticed this dude wearing a #bitcoin t-shirt. The lady we were sitting with happened to know the guy and asked if we wanted to meet him. I said, 'of course, I love meeting other Bitcoiners'. 😅
Unbeknown to us, legendary nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft and his family were at the worldschool hub which we were sort of also at, but not, because we #unschool. Pablo straight away got talking about Nostr. Something about his enthusiasm gripped me. 🤣
I spent a dayby the pool setting myself up. And I was captivated. I listened to Nostr podcasts. I learned as much as I could. I could see the bigger picture 🤩
Every day here is exciting. I feel like we are building something bigger than ourselves. I'm excited to see all the projects and developments. The different clients, the growth of Lightning. ⚡️
I feel really confident that #nostr was exactly what I was searching for. This was my opportunity to start from zero, with a new protocol that I believe in. All new people, but the right kinds of people. The movers the shakers. The people making shit happen. 💜🧡🎉
I didn't connect with many of you people in my past social media life. And I feel deeply grateful to Pablo and nostr for bringing me here. Because you are my kind of people.
