This is the kinds of stuff that financial regulators froth at the mouth over...'see, see morrrr regulation is needed as these idiots need saving from themselves.' The shitcoin space reinforces centralisation in every way.

Humanity is both the best and the worst thing to happen to #bitcoin.

Throwing a sandwich at someone is juvenile behaviour and deserves a monetary fine and a warning about not being a public nuisance. I'd expect it from a teenager but a grown man should be embarrassed.

That is all. Throwing a sandwich is not a court case.

I think we shouldn't get sucked into the distracting technical debate about OP_RETURN -- there is a principle that's at stake:

Do not make meaningful changes that nearly all users are against, for debatable marginal benefit, EVEN IF it's "better" technically.

That's not your place, nor your role, open source developer.

Satoshi gave Bitcoin to humanity so we all own it. You are putting your speech on OUR PROPERTY; you are a steward, not the boss.

As people migrate away to other versions, it becomes clearer to see that the consensus rules are no longer in the Bitcoin Core code as they once were (reference implementation). They are now in all our nodes, all agreeing with each other's DNA expression, with the resulting phenotype being the timechain.

To come to understand this, consider if Bitcoin Core changed the consensus rules unilaterally - that can't change what all the users run, where the true rules are.

And so, the more diversification away from Core, the less of a central point of failure/attack it becomes, and the better for Bitcoin.

Everyone should celebrate the reduction of Bitcoin Core as the first choice of Node flavour.

Core groupies are spending all day on Twitter fighting... but why? Why do they care? Why are they seemingly so coordinated? It would be a far more natural a response to not care and let people run what that want to run. Something is fishy about the behaviour.

"Oh, it's not your property, you can just fork, or make your own version from scratch"...

EXACTLY. You can only pick one...

1)

Bitcoin is not all our property, we can all fork or use Knots (OK, then why are you fighting on Twitter with Knots users? Why are their nodes being ddos attacked? What's the incentive?)

2)

Bitcoin is all our property and you fucked up.

Hmmmm I agree with the underlying sentiment here. I'd like to see a more credible counter point to bitcoin core than Luke. Luke is well intentioned in many respects but he is not credible when you consider what is at stake.

So did nostr:nprofile1qqsvwcwuwcwmucx3s7dfs54m49h7uclw4vxh8ygu25m9chk0ypy5ngspz3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wcq35amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wdaexzmn8v4cxjmrv9ejx2asswfehn get breached?

He's an absolute moron desperate to bring about a socialist hellhole. I'm actually blown away that anyone that understands #bitcoin would be willing to indulge him. But each to their own...

The thing about this bull run that feels off is that the mempool is empty and it's not a bottom up bull run. Adoption doesn't feel to be surging in the areas that make you feel great (freedom of the people). IMO.

Peace to you too Sven ๐Ÿค

What a great shot too.

Ouch. Are you on an NDA? You should sit down with nostr:nprofile1qqsd0uazmzmhwseeym3rjhf3txyjapreapc6sq8yq8cy07cg45tlx2cpp4mhxue69uhkyunz9e5k7tcprdmhxue69uhkummnw3ezummjv9hxwetsd9kxctnyv4mz7xwfmkq and walk us through that whole episode because WBD I think took blockfi advertising money so they should have the courage walk over that corpse and tell it how it was etc.

Yes just like this but we also have a unique pattern in when we 'periscope up' at particular block heights. This pattern in combination with the geohash hop sequence yields a known cone of silence in time and space that we never have to coordinate over. We can always find our way to each other forever. We could miss 500 hops and know precisely where the next is and will be.

Nested Geohash access control like Russian Babushka doll. Invite only into each inner layer.

When normies see this stuff they just laugh and compare it to visa/mc and say 'so what '. The bit that they always miss and never appreciate is that for all intensive purposes you are witnessing final settlement with no intermediaries. It's HUGE. But their understanding of their own monetary transmission layers is so poor they cannot grasp the importance of that distinction. Only the 3rd world get the power of #bitcoin as a medium of exchange.

I've added basic support for bitchat Geohash channels over at https://coolr.chat

Still some work to do, but you can easily chat with bitchat users. New messages from any Geohash will show up in separate channels as they come in and you can also just add the channel manually by doing

#bc_9q8yy

Once in a Geohash channel you can also simply type the command /geo to open up that Geohash location. I still need to work on mentions, and other things, but its working!

Anyone care to explain how to use this? I already have bitchat the app but yeah need a primer.

Great to see some raw emotion and I wholeheartedly agree with Peter in that #bitcoiners need to step out in the world and change it.

Also agree with Danny that German bitcoiners are completely leading from the front in the cypherpunk space.

Bitcoin is P2P money or we die trying.

Peace boys ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

To be fair it's only debasing holders by 50% over 167 years assuming a continuation of the above inflation rate. By the time your grandkids get your Eth they will be back on food stamps and in a similar situation to where fiat got us (nowhere fast). Etherium is a slower repeat of fiat.

Mass adoption probably won't be driven by self determination. It will be driven by market demand. It won't be #bitcoin itself that they demand - it will be the next revolutionary product (like the iPhone first launch) that 'they simply must have' and the manufacturer is demanding bitcoin as payment.
