Being prepared is a way of life for me. Depending on the day, I could be in the shop, in the woods, on the farm, at a job site, or on the road to or from any of these places.

Of course, I have several different sets of tools and equipment that I bring along for specific tasks, but this pack goes with me everywhere.

The pack is made by Frost River. It's a handy size and durable, and waxed canvas, leather, and brass just has more cool factor than nylon.

Shown in the picture are the tools I keep inside: Gransfors Bruk hatchet, Silky saw, and a prying/digging tool I made.

I was gonna google it but figured id had a wealth of gardening knowledge right here. So what causes this in plants? (These were just transplanted about 3 days ago)

I have, it's probably better than Seek at identifying things.

I use Seek because it's completely free and no account needed

Mining Bitcoin with excess solar power at my yurt. System is 975w of panels on a 24v system with a 225ah battery bank. (Adding another 300w panel soon which will max out the 60a charge controller)

I'm currently using an M29 (whatsminer m20 hashboards in a S9 enclosure) with 2 of the hashboards unplugged to reduce the power consumption down to ~600w. On a clear sunny day I can mine for 5-6hrs.

Today, I started using the airflow and heat generated by the miner to help evaporate liquids in the collection tank of the composting toilet at the outhouse. The toilet system had an option to add electric evaporators but using a Bitcoin miner instead was worth a shot. Today I'm walking around my property and labeling interesting plants that I identify with the Seek app.

So far I've found:

58 species of plants

5 species of insects

3 reptiles

2 arachnids

And 1 fungus

I need to come up with a more permanent labeling system, but for now masking tape and a sharpie will do.

Traded some homemade cookies for a gate.

Installed gate in an existing fence so my neighbor can wheel their horse poop directly onto our property.

First time installing a gate like this. Turned out pretty good. And now more horse poop!
