I think it’s most likely European beech, though it’s darker than examples I’ve seen. Maybe it’ll lighten when dried 🤷♂️

The tree it came from didn’t have any fruit. It is quite a dark wood though, not sure if it’ll lighten when dried

It’s great how they reduce the allowance and also the value of the currency is reduced by inflation. It’s not going to be a good 5yrs in the UK for productive people!

Been putting the bandsaw to work today attempting to plank up some logs from a tree I felled in the garden.

I gave my neices and nephews their equal share of sats per person (244k sats) for Christmas 3 years ago. The fiat value is now pretty much the same so they haven't really caught onto the benefits and haven't stacked any more themselves per my advice!
At least they have it though. I still hold their keys just in case.

I had thought our cleaners would let us know stuff was disappearing. Looking at what other hosts say on Airbnb it seems there’s little recourse as you have to prove things are missing. How do you prove a missing towel!
Going to do the checks myself now but it will add 30mins extra labour per booking.
Wish I knew how unprofitable Airbnb’s were before I got into it 😂
That’s what I’m going to have to start doing! I hadn’t been doing inventory between guests, didn’t think it would be such a big problem! The question is whether you would actually get anything back from Airbnb, the kind of person that would steal stuff isn’t the kind that would admit to it
The spares are locked up. The stuff that’s going missing is what the guests get. I hadn’t thought to count everything after each guest, I knew some would get stolen but not to this extent!
I’ve been running an Airbnb for 2yrs now. We bought 3 sets of laundry (sheets/towels etc) so there was always a spare set in case of accidents etc.
The spare set is now entirely missing and we have less than 2 sets worth of hand towels left.
Anybody know if this is normal or how to stop it if (as I suspect) scumbags are stealing stuff?
