I dug up the Saylor & PBD recent podcast
Hugely enjoy listening to this type of character chat
What was so obvious: PBD doesn’t fully understand BTC
1) this is normal (most don’t)
2) bias holds you back (always)
3) altcoins are a tuition fee (sorry)
The fact one is lucky to see an opportunity, in advance of other successful entrepreneurs and investors, is a great example of information asymmetry
Information travels unfairly
This is chance
This is also “edge”
Use it
Front running Wall St is still on. There are countless millionaires out there that will all want 1 BTC
HODL
What company is that? Never heard of it before
Nostr is how I will build an impenetrable publishing fortress, that cannot be switched off, and is creating value in total symbiosis with its audience via v4v zaps
💪🏻
What’s going on in the Gold market is worth watching
Bank of England already proven to have over-capitalised
What if Fort Knox is also?
People running to claim the physical version of their paper claims
Bank run 101
Great example as to why a digitally verifiable money, that has a fixed supply, and is easily auditable, is such a game changer
The double spend problem is very real
This is the definition of a 10x technology shift
HODL

Thanks Ray! I need to have a look into this

From the looks of it, your video dimensions and bit rate is pretty high for web viewing. It looks like most of them are 1920x1080 at 800 kbit/s = 96MB in size
I download one and compressed it to half the size 960x540 and lowered the bitrate to 300 kbit/s = 35 MB in size

I have linked the 35MB compressed version. Can you tell a difference on mobile?
Thanks Logen! It still comes across well on mobile. I’ll look into this
🙏🏻
Thanks I’ll check it out
Arguably the most important lesson throughout this whole journey
The one that gets me the most: the operators that like to "help with custody", and emphasise to people that they can't be responsible
Sorry to hear this Larry! How annoying and kind of scary as well
How the hell did they manage to do it?!
I don't need your zaps
In a month of posting content on Nostr via nostr:nprofile1q9n8wumn8ghj7enfd36x2u3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99ah8qatzx96r2amr8p5rxdm4dp4kzafew3ehwwpjwd48smnywycrgepndcu8qd3nx36hguryvem8xdr5d56hsmt5xfehzemtxejxkeflvfex7ctyvdshxapaw3e82egprpmhxue69uhkc6t8dp6xu6twvaex2mrp0yhxxmmdqqsfnz2sqsflkatdssmeztxr90s8xrd7r07xkhfwaa6eu9zkcguljpg0va3vj I've used 33gb of storage space
It's mainly clips of the podcast
Really highlights how much heavy lifting that the likes of IG, X, & YT etc do for you
They make it so easy
But at what cost?
Well it's simple
YOU'RE THE PRODUCT!
The real world costs associated with posting all this information is handled by the social media company, in favour of incentivising more usage, but also in exchange for control
You're on their land
They can kick you off anytime
So instead, here we are on Nostr
I've happily spent just over $400 aud on an annual 100gb storage package with nostr:nprofile1q9n8wumn8ghj7enfd36x2u3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99ah8qatzx96r2amr8p5rxdm4dp4kzafew3ehwwpjwd48smnywycrgepndcu8qd3nx36hguryvem8xdr5d56hsmt5xfehzemtxejxkeflvfex7ctyvdshxapaw3e82egprpmhxue69uhkc6t8dp6xu6twvaex2mrp0yhxxmmdqqsfnz2sqsflkatdssmeztxr90s8xrd7r07xkhfwaa6eu9zkcguljpg0va3vj
Can't wait to see the creator ecosystem proliferate over here
Indeed I'd be very interested to see what investments can be made
Onwards
How do I insert thumbnails on posts which arene't just screenshots of the content with nostr.build?
