Ok, so its the eyes, your actually very good at drawing them (you don't fall into the trap of drawing all the iris which makes people look like a complete psychopath πŸ˜‚) but there is one thing that very slightly out and once you know it, your going make it look great next time. The space between your eyes is about the same distance as an eye itself. At the end of the day it's a golden proportion thing there is tiny amount of variation between people some a tiny bit more, some a tiny bit less but it's usually about a eye width. You can think of it as the space for your 3rd eye 😁

Other things that make drawing a face easy are knowing in from the side the bottom of your earlobes line up with your mouth. Looks like you got that about right πŸ™‚ .

The edge of peoples mouths generally end where the pupils of the eye in a relaxed expression sometimes that can be useful to know

Also as a fun body proportion thing your elbow to your wrist is pretty much the same length as your foot. πŸ™‚

Drawing is a waist a time though you cant learn anything from it πŸ˜‰πŸ€—

Yes, you have at least 3 pencils πŸ˜† . Get the most extreme soft pencil and use it on your pupils, light doesn't generally appear to escape from your eyes so you want it as black as your soul Dawn πŸ˜‚.

Once you have that bit super dark you will likely start to mentally adjust the dark elsewhere and it will start to pop out more. Only problem is the soft pencil can smudge easily. You can carefully use hairspray as a fixative (though it best done at the end really), lay paper over it or turn it round to avoid smudging. Also you can just use the rubber at the end to add some highlights and clean it up those putty rubbers can be good to pick up specific areas of graphite or you can sharpen a normal one.

Look good though πŸ˜ƒ. Got something else to say I will tell you later as I need to do something else now

Yeah all the houses being sold round here reminded me of that and of course houses aren't as easy to sell as a 24/7 market. People always complain about Bitcoin volatility yet everyone is suddenly selling houses to avoid CGT so I have noticed a lot of 'Sold' houses are falling through. I would guess also due to the chain nature of the market and the choice of new housing stock some are pulling out to get a better a deal putting pressure on sellers by pushing things close to the governments stupid tax deadline.

I hope you manage to get yours sold though MIke!

That's Abdullah Ibrahim again its copied from photo. Took a while to do that one...

Thanks tried to get them to sign it but I could never find them after the gig.... sneaky Canadians

Not a pencil drawing but I found a Nomeansno.

With you? πŸ˜‚ Wont be too long....

I will see what I can find to be honest I haven't drawn anything for ages so I should probably shut up πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚ Yeah but it pains me you use shitty pencils. You can be be doing really well and crunch the whole thing is fecked. Its like painting with crappy brushes and half the hairs come off in the paint gah

Everything is in proportion though its not easy drawing that small without a mechanical pencil.

How much will a 2B stick cost you I can probably zap you the cost 😁

I used to use mainly the hard pencils because they didn't break as easily then found the graphite stick really useful because they didn't. I found you can also can get some really nice effects if you experiment with hard pencil over soft too πŸ™‚

That's looking good, but you don't have to just use 4H you know? πŸ˜… I used to do the same thing then found graphite sticks? Have you got one of them?

πŸ˜‚ Your lucky they still turned up MIke! You might need to buy some biscuits to make up for it

The wind blew the seed I was planting on to the drive I didn't really think anything of it then a few months later the lettuce appeared, seemingly doing better than the other stuff!. Lettuce generally seems not too keen on heavier mulches so up until now I stuck to using only compost. Compost is still a good mulch but it doesn't seem quite as effective at blocking weeds especially in the longer run so I thought I would adapt the observation...

Yeah I had one before I grew from seed but it stayed in an unheated conservatory and I couldn't take it with me when I moved house. I was concerned about the frost but I think they grow them in Spain do you know what pollinates this family or if they can be self fertile?

I had an american pawpaw growing in a pot but it died when I planted it in the ground as it didn't like the root disturbance. Perhaps I need to look into that again as they are hardy.

Mulched my lettuce with basalt chips after seeing how well it was growing in the drive at gardening customers house . The drive chips were limestone though, which will make things more alkaline and lock up minerals so this should work better.

Yeah I have tried it too didn't get too excited about it either.I think its more of a food to pad stuff out with and hit with spices. I have seen it in Caribbean shops here, so looking up some Jamaican recipes might be the best way forward with that. Cherimoya on the other hand is so delicious I constantly convince myself I will work out how to grow it here πŸ˜‚

The β€˜ctrl alt delete’ of the river was the first large-scale attempt to reset a UK river to fully reconnect its waters with the surrounding floodplain by filling in a 1.2km managed, straightened and deepened section of the River Aller to transform the area and dramatically create seven hectares of waterscapes and wetlands (equivalent to more than ten football pitches). […]

β€œThe twists and turns and numerous flow paths that are now present in the floodplain as the water wends its way over the site through thick vegetation, act as a filter to capture sediment eroded from upstream.

β€œThe development of habitat to include faster flowing riffles and gravel beds has also been key for benefitting fish and other aquatic species. The site has moved from a very simple, static system with little opportunity for wildlife to one with significant dynamic complexity which has seen an explosion in life.

β€œPut simply, the system has moved from a very tidy area with little for wildlife to a messy complex jumble of waterscapes and diverse habitats that is full to the brim with a huge variety of plants and animals.”

Sounds better than the usual approach of building houses on the floodplain πŸ˜‚

Did you know? Where your eyes don't go a filthy scarecrow waves its broomstick arms and does a parody of each unconscious thing you? 😬
