I'd love to hear his arguments around privacy. Last I checked you could absolutely use Nostr clients through tor. If it's about reaching the broadest audience and having limited time to do so, fair enough for someone in his position. But privacy seems like a cop out without clarification.
Technically speaking, if you want to be most secure, you'd generate your nsec and npub locally, and not even let the first client you use generate them for you, as that provides your first gaping security hole. There's some information here that can help with that: https://orangepill.dev/nostr-guides/guide-nostr-key-generation-and-management/
FWIW, aesthetics is the branch of philosophy that gets the least love in institutional settings, at least in my experience in the west. Academics in the west seem to love to be "substance over style" or "function over form," perhaps due to just how hard aesthetics is to nail down, even compared to metaphysics.
But nonetheless, to be a proper philosopher, you simply can't ignore beauty, and pleasure, and finding ways to maximize them in your life. One of the big reasons that it does no good just to read the work of enlightenment and beyond depressed European men (Hume spent years of his life depressed by his work just playing chess in the park); you need to actually go back and check out the work of the ancient Greeks, and people from around the world who did not fall into this left brain rabbit hole.
Not to advocate for debaucherous hedonism of course -- you can absolutely end up going too far in the other direction. But any philosopher worth his salt will recognize that eudaimonia isn't about cutting off your appetites, but bringing them into balance with the rest of your drives, intellectual an otherwise.
We talk about time preference a lot in bitcoin, and it's definitely important to avoid having a high time preference that leads to ruin. But that doesn't mean be a miser who never enjoys his wealth. Part of living wisely is...living.
That's gotta be a high score on one of those merge games.
Just gotta get to the point where you see the block clock on your eyelids. Or maybe the next block configuration as displayed on mempool.space for closed eye visuals.
That last one might get to be a bad trip. Especially when its full of ordinals, runes, and BRC-20 tokens...
I'd assume that means there's a hardware unit or two with a proprietary driver. But I would be curious indeed.
Wow, yea, 2 tb storage, that's a node all right. Looks like it'd probably handle running a lightning node on top of it too given all that ram and the 2.4ghz 8 core...
It's infuriating how much Bitcoin Magazine loves to shill for steaming garbage being foisted upon the blockchain. How one can both see the value in Bitcoin AND support this shit at the same time is beyond me.
There are curious accusations that he was a British spy. Somewhat damning given how our revolution played out, and eventually fell (somewhat almost in secret) with the advent of the Federal Reserve Act and the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, prior to which Britain was anything but an "ally" with which America had a "special friendship."
As to the veracity of these claims, all I can say is that I'd hope they're not true. But Britain did seem to get the end run around us in the end, even if we kept them at bay both in 1812 and during the Civil War (thanks to our pals the Russians, who they've made sure we've been at enmity with for as long as they've had the influence).
Convenient for sure that all records that would have confirmed this went up in fire. But not exactly off brand for MI-6 to actually be pretty good at keeping secrets.

Works for me. I didn't want these assholes pumping the price out of my reach so soon anyway. Hyperbitcoinization will happen, just like the sun will eventually burn out, but we needn't cheer on the end of low prices and the ability to buy the hardest money ever formulated with scraps of worthless paper sooner than it needs to happen.
I suppose those on the older side may have a different perspective. Age does have an interesting effect on one's time preference after all. Stay humble, stack sats. Orange Pill > Orange Man.
If someone else treats the cause, how will they sell ANY medicine?
Seems the solution is to compete them out of a market. Perhaps through a completely different model, based on education for self sovereign healthcare built around personal responsibility.
Just think of all the people focused on treating lung cancer who got screwed over when people stopped smoking in such large numbers. That they've largely replaced those habits with other bad ones probably means they're not at the soup kitchens just yet, but scale that sort of movement and these charlatans may end up being put in their place yet.
That said, I doubt there'll be any shortage of people making poor decisions. As P.T. Barnum told us, there's a sucker born every minute. Probably more frequently now thanks to the information superhighway, which $TRUMP seems to have confirmed most recently.

BD/GM. Viva el mate.
Last week I first tried making some homemade protein bars with casein protein with a recipe that'd work just as fine with beef that I found convenient, as I'm really not fond of dealing with blenders in the morning. Casein's wonderful for satiety, and it's way more convenient to just grab a bar when I get up (and drink my Mud/Wtr). Though now I'm wondering if using my Mud/Wtr and protein powder could end up with an interesting drink in itself, with the "whip" (frother) that came with it. Anyway, here's the link to that recipe if you're curious.

Haha, don't let nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyv8wumn8ghj7urjv4kkjatd9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wsq3gamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vgq3vamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgsyrcvv9 drive you to drink. You can opine on the news in your GM notes.
Was she before or after his cook who found himself suicided?
I'm sorry, did you say ball tanning?
Maybe it's better I don't know.
That's wild. Seems like because sometimes unhealthy habits or other frailties might be shameful, medical professionals want to steer clear of ever asking questions about things pertaining to your health.
The whole goal is to treat the symptom, not the disease, and kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Best to find a better doctor, as well as get a better understanding ourselves how to listen to our bodies, as well as recognize our weaknesses and address them, rather than hide and ignore them.
It's gonna blow his mind when he realizes that most Palestinians in America were born here, because this occupation has gone on for far too long. They're more American than the First Lady.
