Self custodial zaps are easy. Self custodial zaps that actually show up in Nostr clients and can be used to filter by most zapped and things of that nature (through, say, NWC) is where we get to things like the whiteboard you've depicted. A simple lightning address will work for actually sending and receiving.
But yea... NWC is a mess. Impressive it works at all.
Note to self: the women of bitcoin are not to be trifled with. Y'all may not be many in numbers but I don't think I've found one yet I'd want to go toe to toe with.
#GM. Looking for an #exercise routine that won't take all day, and will leave you with noticeable results and a rock-stable core? It's hard to beat Pavel Tsatsouline's Simple and Sinister #kettlebell routine, with 10 sets of 10 kettlebell swings (5 per arm) and 10 Turkish Get Ups (5 per side). Warm up to finish only takes about 25 min. My coworkers in the restaurant I was at years ago used to make a game of running into me to get me off balance...

Guess my expectation that the subject matter would resonate with you was on point anyway 😆
Looking forward to listening to Bushido of Bitcoin for my next one of those.
Not sure anyone podcast stands out among the thousands I've caught in the last few months alone. Hard to go wrong with nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u though as his podcast is said to be one of the fastest growing Bitcoin podcasts out there. The Dune audiobooks were easier to get through than the text, and will suffice even if you're riding a bike to Pluto in terms of not ending before you get to your destination.

Oh shit, we're getting rugged from the censorship proof narrative. Fiatjaf reveals he has a secret ban button!
G looks like a 6, and M is roman numeral for 1000. NIP 61000? Or would it be NIP 6000? Or maybe, following roman numeral citation, NIP 994?
#GM. And, okay, this is legitimately nuts. I got 5.5 hours of sleep, if that, thanks to being out late last night (kid had hockey practice, and my wife and I alternate weeks for driving). To back up a bit, I haven't been drinking coffee, or really anything beyond a single bowl of ceremonial matcha and a cup of MUD\WTR every morning, which has been going...frankly better than I expected, as the ads felt...hypey. I figured after such a low sleep night, I might need something a little extra -- green tea perhaps, or even coffee, as I'd normally have been wanting more after so little sleep. But my energy levels are solid.
IDK what sort of magic they infuse these mushrooms with, but this stuff works wonders. Doesn't hurt that they also donate a portion of proceeds to MAPS either.

Medjool dates from Jericho. Dates are NOT created equal, and these are chewy delicious gold, with proceeds that go to a most deserving community.
Support your local #halal shop. #FreePalestine

Will be amusing when they don't take him up on it because of the state of the labor market. Especially the labor market for the skillset that says 'I'm so disabled the government hired me.'
Given that in 2025, successfully retiring at 65 and and not being destitute means you're a millionaire, that's not actually all that surprising. It does of course speak to just how bad inflation is though. Especially if you grew up watching Gilligan's Island when the word millionaire meant something.
Not to take away the congrats from people who get millionaire status younger of course. But if you're not there by 65, chances are you're in financial trouble.

Dear [Representative/Senator] [Last Name],
I am writing to express my concern regarding Ripple Labs Inc. and its cryptocurrency, XRP. Their actions appear to threaten the decentralization fundamental to cryptocurrencies. Notably, Ripple’s lobbying against the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR) raises questions about their intentions.
Reports indicate that Ripple and CEO Brad Garlinghouse are working to undermine the SBR, potentially favoring centralized control over the decentralized nature of digital currencies. Additionally, Ripple’s promotion of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) over Bitcoin suggests an alignment with centralized financial systems, possibly leveraging their infrastructure.
The implications of Ripple’s influence include:
1. Centralization of Cryptocurrency: By advocating for CBDCs, Ripple may facilitate centralization, reducing user autonomy in the crypto space.
2. Lobbying Against SBR: The SBR aims to strengthen the U.S. dollar and national economic interests through Bitcoin. Ripple’s opposition seems to counter this pro-Bitcoin strategy.
Given these concerns, I urge you to:
• Investigate Ripple Labs’ lobbying activities, including their financial contributions to political figures and campaigns, especially concerning their stance against the SBR.
• Support policies that protect decentralized financial systems, emphasizing the importance of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin that operate independently of centralized control.
The freedom represented by cryptocurrencies should not be compromised by corporate interests seeking centralization for their gain. Your action in this matter would support financial freedom and ensure transparency in cryptocurrency sector lobbying practices.
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response and commitment to addressing these concerns.
Sincerely,

Something tells me that my Senator Elizabeth Warren won't need a letter. Though it would be so like her to just turn into an XRP advocate with how in bed with the banks she is...
I'd just point out that typically speaking, you also want to shake anything with egg, cream, or other opaque ingredient. There are exceptions, like the White Russian, but on the whole, just like the citrus rule, these want to be aerated as well.
It's less that there's no counter party risk and more that it's widely distributed counter party risk, as with gold. That its value grows is relative to how widely distributed that risk gets -- the more users the network has, the more valuable and low risk it becomes.
Sorry to hear about your family.
Also sorry that they were gone by the time my brother in law OD'ed on street grade cut to hell mostly fentanyl in 2017. Might have saved his life to have access to safe and clean distribution methods. Instead, he got hooked by the military after an injury, medically discharged, and left to wander the street shooting poison into his arm til it killed him.
Addiction is worth fighting. So are the forces that make it more dangerous than it needs to be.
If they're buying heroin, yea, it probably should be online. You'd prefer they go down to the projects and buy it from some guy who can't get a real job because he's on the sex offender registry, I presume?
