I think a big obstacle to a breakthrough for #value4value is a lack of transparency on what has been paid already.
If I’m a rational actor, I want to make sure I give to those causes that are most underfunded, not to those asking the best or the loudest but it’s hard for me to know which those are.
I’m sure @dergigi and others have thought deeply about this. If you have, please share your perspectives/potential solutions. nostr:note1u4d8kyrkgmag64zmqy0p63dhaeumpqlndrk4qw2p2r9t67czfaes7l2ksm
They don’t even realize that privacy, while certainly being a major concern, is not the main issue with Fiat currencies. The main issue is arbitrary monetary inflation.
CBDCs do nothing to address this issue, quite the opposite.
Would be cool if there was a nostr solution for this.
I use a simple table in Google Sheets where I record the book, date completed, a couple of sentences to summarize and a score
Hot take: Emma Watson is one of the biggest sell-outs of my generation.
This is the kind of incongruous behavior only the Fiat mindset can bring forth: UN Women Goodwill Ambassador on the one hand; selling liquor to her young and impressionable followers on the other.
Once you’re on the other side of this Fiat mindset, you realize that your actions and speech matter. Not to say they’re always going to be perfectly aligned, but at least you’re going to strive for alignment and congruency.
As in couple’s therapy?

Why should we worry/care about them? It’s like people chasing rare $2 bills and maybe even paying more than nominal value for them right? Some people will always do this but is it something to worry about for those who just care about the monetary instrument?
I don’t think network congestion will be a long term concern as the equilibrium will always balance out somewhere where the trades of these rare Bitcoin are negligible compared to the overall market
Would be nice to have a metric of “active followers” i.e. those that have actually posted or engaged with any post on nostr in the last couple of months.
It’s a self-defeating Fiat mindset coupled with the Silicon Valley quantified self movement.
I don’t doubt that he’s actually hitting all these metrics. The issue is that the human body is much more complex than his simplistic 60 metrics. And usually when you
If something looks too good to be true, it usually is. Like that ridiculous mRNA vaccine.
There is something about having a relaxed, non-neurotic lifestyle that seems to extend people’s life- and health-spans.
And the level of wisdom required for this, is not easily captured in a metric available to this charlatan.
Bryan Johnson is a Fiat phenomenon if I’ve ever seen one.
Measuring everything about your health and becoming as obsessed about all these markers as he is, is the antithesis of a healthy human life.
