GM, GN, and GFY.

That's the thing. You aren't maxing it out with BTC. You're maxing it out with fiat that is tied to the price of BTC that you don't control.

There's no way to mean for something like Bitcoin to only be for certain people. And big money managers aren't the problem. There's nothing philosophically wrong with being an investment manager. I only take issue with benefitting from fiat slavery at the expense of others. Most of them are just people working within a system they never chose. The most evil is done by the central planners in government. None of the rest would exist without them.

I'm not excited about the #Bitcoin ETF for it's own sake. In fact, I find it rather boring and antithetical to Bitcoin. However, I have considered that the replacement of fiat in a sly, roundabout way will likely require that traditional financial instruments embrace Bitcoin.

Sure, some people will get rugged, but that's exactly what will push more people toward self-custody, second layers, etc. Exposing more people to Bitcoin through ETFs will likely be a net positive in the end. I'm all for that.

I think video (and probably photos as Nostr grows) will ultimately require more centralized (due to cost) providers. Or at least some sort of aggregate funding which would still be centralized.

Great work. Are there plans to runs ads? Not sure I'd trust the major platforms to let it fly unhindered, but maybe it's worth a try. Would donate sats to any marketing efforts being put together. Would be a good addition to OpenSats @ODELL

I'm not selling shit to the fiat clowns. They can try offering goods and services like the rest of us have to for survival. I don't need their toilet paper, and they have nothing real to offer me. Let them and the central planners go broke. Hodl and fight.

I can't figure out the issue, unfortunately. It's weird because I'm able to zap others and see it leave my wallet.

I think the only event that isn't taxable on my end is donations. Essentially, any event in which I don't receive value in return for the Bitcoin.

I'd abolish the IRS if I had my way, and maybe Bitcoin will help achieved that some day. For now, I have to pay the racket.

I've seen it, but the biggest issue I'm working to solve is the tax implications in the US. The whole FIFO thing and keeping track has been tough. Looking for software to address the issue. Also the problem (a good one to have) of having a lot of extra fiat from my job. Beyond ideology, it makes little sense to not just use it first and then put the extra into Bitcoin. Fees are high at that.

Lol true, but I'd again counter that pleasure can be irrational. I agree with you, I just think that value often exists outside of rationality and reality (in the sense that people may not realize it yet). So in that sense, USD still does have value, even if the value is based on ignorance, theft, and violence. To us, it has no value. I'd love totally on Bitcoin if it were feasible for me right now. Alas, I get closer every year because I'm choosing to.

Not necessarily the same, but this reminds me of how much joy I get from using my ThinkPad (even the newer one) vs a 'sleek' MacBook Air. It's bulkier, heavier, and has far less battery life, yet I genuinely enjoy it more. It doesn't treat me like a moron and respects that my needs aren't just what Apple tells me my needs are. I even run Fedora on it with ease. I've noticed that I like products that give me choice instead of spoonfeeding me whatever the manufacturer thinks I should have.

Psst

*Then why can you still buy Bitcoin with it?

It clearly does have some value if a state funded by it has the power to make such laws. For now.

Value can be irrational.

Both, if the 10k sats happen to be worth $10k.

Authoritarian countries hate other countries that use this one simple trick: Fuck off and let people be free to innovate.

The U.S. government is eating itself and Americans. We could just be free to build here. We are so vulnerable because we aren't free.

Sad to say there's several of me. I've learned and embraced it. I have no plans of hiding now. It freed me in some weird way. Obviously, I want this to end, but I'm also in a place where it's all or nothing now. Stack up and come take my stack. Freedom or grave.
