So something that has never been normal should now be the norm in spite of all evidence that it's a largely meaningless practice?

And people don't "feel" lied to, they were lied to in deeply fucked up ways.

I'm about to get sick for a week because of all these retards on the plane coughing all around me and you don't care. It's just common courtesy. Like not cutting people off while driving.

U sound vaxed

Some people don't mind being incapacitated for a week. I very much do not want to be. It's not life or death.

Fast it off you'll be good as new in 2 days with zero incapacity.

Eat healthy, don't drink, travel with ivermectin, problem solved. The data show very clearly that masks don't stop anyone from getting sick. In fact, mask mandates had a slightly negative impact on health outcomes when compared to places without them. Stop being such a bitch.

You want to wear a hazmat suit when you go out, go right ahead. Expecting or demanding that others jump through irrational hoops to make you feel better is narcissistic & unethical.

Buy-pharma.md is a decent place to get ivermectin (takes a couple weeks), in my experience it works extremely well. 6 or 12mg twice a day as a prophylactic or to stop something you have already caught.

It's like saying condoms have no effect just because it doesn't work 100% of the time. Just look at the thing, of course it works, if it's more than a thin cloth.

No, the data quite literally suggest that they do nothing to stop the spread & they actually make people sicker because they increase the amount of bacteria laden air people are breathing.

But if you think they work you are always free to protect yourself with one. Or just keep demanding that other people do things to make you feel better & see where that gets you.

If you completely enclose yourself in sealed glass and kiss someone through it, they will not get sick. Viruses are physical things. Masks obviously have varying levels of effectiveness depending on the materials used. Are you talking just about N95s? I do not need to see a study to know that physical barriers prevent diseases. At the very least a mask would limit the distance around you that a virus would travel if you cough. This is common sense to me.

So if you are so concerned why aren't you wearing the physical barrier(s) to protect your eyes & nose & mouth?

Again, why are you trying to force others to bear the cost of your individual concerns? No one is stopping you from wearing a mask.

If you are getting sick, you should look at other factors that you can, or could have controlled. Others do not have voodoo powers to make you sick. I offer a hug to anyone who is "sick". That is the missing piece we failed to learn. And if you get sick, fast it out, you'll be fine in 2 days.

This isn't fair.

Do you cover your face when you cough?

Do you go to the office when you're clearly sick?

Do you invite your kid's classmates to play when they are sick?

Are you willing to violently arrest sick people for traveling or being in public? Are you going to arrest people for not wearing a mask? Are you going to shoot these people or put them in cages when they resist? All laws, no matter how seemingly trivial are ultimately backed by lethal force.

Again. You are free to spare no expense & impose any discomfort on yourself that you would like in order to protect yourself from illness. It is not acceptable to impose the burden of your own fear onto others.

If you are the manager or owner of a business or private space you are free to tell employees or members not to come in when they are sick. You are free to regulate who comes in & out of private spaces you own however you see fit. You are not free to impose costs on others in public spaces.

Of course I'm not.

I merely poited out that it always've been normal not spread whatever you got.

it is normal to cover your face when you sneeze. for a reason.

I'd never force anyone to do anything. I can judge inconsiderate people though, can't I?

And I don't talk about laws. Laws are stupid.

I talk about basic common sense. When you're sick try to avoid spreading it.

when you can't, you can't. but be ready that someone will be pissed off 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't think anyone goes out of their way to travel or be out around people when they are sick without good reason.

The only thing I am concerned with is what are you going to do about it? Being quietly pissed off is your own personal issue, sit & stew if that is what you want to do. But being mad at people for something that I am sure they didn't do on purpose seems pretty fucking self centered.

The point of my post is that people are not good at critical thinking. I think you are kind of proving it because you're just trying to say why you're right.

This is an incredible inversion of reality. If you are sick and you are out walking around or going to public events then YOU are the self-centered jerk because YOU are spreading it around. An activity that benefits you at the expense of other people around you, possibly thousands of people.

If you use that logic then everyone becomes guilty until proven innocent. People sometimes cough & sneeze withoht actually being sick, if every random thing is treated like an illness then people can't comfortably go about their lives in public spaces. No one should have to be surrounded by a bunch of cowards that suddenly hate them because they simply had to cough.

Your fear is your burden. People already don't naturally want to go out when they are sick.

people are free to judge you in public for spreading disease the same way that you are free to judge people for being unjustifiably scared of illness sometimes. It feels like you just want your values to be dominant not for people to be free.

Freedom ends where you start imposing costs on others. The pro-mask & pro-jab people want to impose known & immediate costs (ignoring long term consequences) on others in order to avoid any risk of some possible imagined cost. There is no way to sanely police sick people being in public, or conducting themselves in a specific way in public, so you can't fucking do it.

Would I like for people to cover their mouths when they cough? Yeah I guess. I certainly don't want people coughing on me directly, but I don't think anyone should ever be forced to wear a mask & the real world data literally shows that it accomplishes nothing anyway.

Freedom of association means that you are free to remove yourself from social situations that make you uncomfortable at your own expense.

If we stick to principles then society keeps working, if we use "emergencies" to justify any arbitrary bullshit that makes people feel better then everything devolves into tyranny.

I am not for making anything mandatory. Social pressure is exactly how this is and has been historically enforced.

I'm done with this argument, have a nice night

I'm cerainly not doing anything myself. Not even bitch about that.

I just don't think it's fair to say that it's not normal to avoid spreading germs.

it is normal. And it's why you cover your face when you cough.

the normal word is probably what triggered me 😂
