lol, who and why would someone even say that? Without context of the individual, I find it very difficult to not assume that this person has serious insecurities about their own life decisions.
She does have a lot of insecurities. The way it came up was back when my father was dying, my aunt and I left hospice care for an hour or so to get some dinner. On the drive back we had a rather heavy conversation about my childhood. Then she dropped that line on me.
Ngl it fucked me up for a few days there, but shortly after my father’s death I realized something. I am the sole author of my story. She doesn’t get a say and neither does anyone else. I changed my twitter handle to American hodl a few months later. The rest is history.

My aunty (whom I love - is too, a clueless bitch) she said the same thing, of my two younger brothers…
They have been exposed to bitcoin since 2014, both have great kids and wives, whom work hard but play hard too, travelling, surfing and snow boarding extensively as a family and the general vibe of my extremely, salt of the earth brothers is high.
Plus they are loved by most!
My aunts kids on the other hand, are none of the above and disturbingly fought over my late uncles legacy; over his dying body!

What I think is a tragedy is the degree to which most people seemingly never stop, reflect, consider, question, learn, grow, savor, enjoy, strive, ...
My aunt once said that to my mother, who had me when she was 19. Did that make me the tragedy? Why did my mom tell me that story? Who the hell knows. But thanks to bitcoin, I live on an estate in the country, and I don't have to work if I don't want to. Doesn't seem like much of a tragedy to me.
