Now hes basically eating carnivore or a very high animal based protein diet.

Even if most people end up coming off strict carnivore after a time that doesn’t make it stupid of bad. It can be an extremely healing time for people. The question is so then step out of it and continue into heath or are they left with terrible health problems. I haven’t heard of people getting fucked up from it, pretty much just a lot of happy stories about eliminating auto immune disorders etc.

Doesn’t mean there are no bad stories or that it’s right for everyone, but clearly some are thriving.

This 100%. If I ever feel like this diet is making be sick or weak I would start adding carbs in. But for now everything feels more than good.

Jordan Peterson said that after switching to carnivore he drank some cider and then spent a month not sleeping and in deep depression, so basically for him he seemed to become less resilient to a non carnivore diet.

Or maybe he sober up and his body started rejecting the toxins the western diet likes to promote.

Most nutrition science is just not that good of science period. Whether it’s science for or against any diet or food item. You can’t truly have a true long term double blind experiment on a single food or diet without endless cofounding variables.

Scientists do their best to control for these variables and perform meta analyses on multitudes of studies. But it is still so imperfect. That’s ok.

You do you. Matt will do Matt. Jordan do Jordan. In the end we will all die. Some of us will be miserable in death some will find tranquility.

What kind of performance what’s good for one sport is not always good for another . I can do way more volume on 30g of carbs, on the other end of it max power give me 100-200g. carnivore is probably not optimal but it does seam to solve some issues for folks. Everything is a trade off. I feel like shit on anything over 100g of carbs a day regardless the source some people feel like shit unless they eat 400g per day. We are a very adaptable animal with diversity in dna nothing is universal

Got to remember that Jordan Peterson’s genetics are extremely vulnerable to autoimmune stuff. He and his wife have autoimmune problems and pass them down to his daughter, who has an even more extreme expression of them. So he’s probably just not gonna be as resilient as your average person.
