You could email the authorities and ask their stance on signers or troll Reddit archives for a thread about it. I don’t think it’ll be an issue at least in the U.S.

I'm an English lad, who'll be travelling to The Far East, very early next month, I'll be wanting to move some sats, while out there. I'm a cold storage kind of guy, this little box of electronics looks more than suspect to me eye, despite knowing that, it's not. The customs officers in them there regions would probably take a different view. I'm just trying to negate that possibility🤷🏻♂️.

ive tested it out, a pixel 6+ is a very secure phone, you can pop graphene onto it, set settings to not connect to internet but before doing that put bluewallet on it. once disconnected from internet, you import wallet seed phrase, and itll serve as the signing device to an internet connected device that can generate PSBTs ( blue wallet on that device with xpub of the wallet imported will work well)
by tested i mean ive tested the functionality of the signer, not travelling cross borders with it

You’ve also in a way obsoleted signers for me now 😂 why buy one when I can buy a phone thats 100 times more inconspicuous and 1000 times more functional as a piece of hardware outside of being a signer? You’ve unlocked something here for me
I have the signers because they are more secure than phones, my signers are for predominantly UK use but as stated, I'll be travelling widely, soon. A burner phone seems to fit the bill for that purpose🙏🏻.
ya, there are tradeoffs of course. a phone has much more attack surface but in practical terms it can serve as a much more inconspicuous choice that is far less likely to be attacked, stolen or confiscated. and you can even do a multisig wallet on two offline phones if you had a need for that :)

ya, i mean a good setup could be: jade for home, set up bip85 child walkets, drop that into the offline phone and put some btc on that. that way you dont even need to write down the words, as long as you can get home to your jade eventually, you can recover whatever you put on the phone signer for travel.
Why not just bring the components of a seedsigner (raspberry pi zero 1.X, a TFT LCD+Joystick Hat, RPi Camera, and a micro SD card) as separate packaged components? Keep the SeedSigner ISO encrypted/obscured somewhere or download it from the internet once in hostile territory, if possible. Assemble components, flash SD card with SS OS, boot from card and recover mnemonic.
If you want to carry it assembled, you could even use a game emulation Linux distribution as cover, to make the pi zero look like a toy.

If you're willing to take on the learning curve of a signing device like a Jade, you probably are smart enough to plug some electronic components together and flash an SD, and if you have access to bitcoin nerds, there's like a gajillion of us online that are willing to help.
What about TailsOS? You can boot it from a thumb drive and use it as a desktop offline signing device (I know it has electrum support and maybe Sparrow?), similar to a hardware wallet.
