1 minute listen on solid (in my layman opinion) theory behind the Tylenol accusations.

TLDR - vax have safety, Tylenol will have to say vax is actual reason as they're not protected, which would lead to grounds for removing the vax protections. It's better to listen

We've always had weirdos. There is no new problem here.

Look at the massive unprecedented rise in this stat! Um, the rise started when you started looking. Of course you found it once you looked and didn't when you weren't looking.

But also this spot where the curve gets even steeper! Yeah, that was when they changed the definition to include more people.

The number of non autistic people obsessed with this obvious bullshit has me completely convinced that allistic people are the retards that we should be worried about finding a way to prevent.

I'm no expert, and it's hard to believe my own perception is that biased by new definitions, so it appears to me there's an obvious rise. I get what you're saying, and I've heard more or less that explanation from an expert clip recently, but I can't fully shake thinking there's more.

I'm not sure vaxes are the culprit. I'm sure it's more complicated than that. One thing I think we can agree on, is greater scrutiny on vaccines is overdue and likely to improve as we break protections such things have had for too long. Yes?

Autistic people tend to travel together because we find similar social norms natural. I know a ton of old guys who were just weird in their era but would absolutely be diagnosed today.

There is no humane way to test a vaccine to the standard that anti vaxxers demand.

If the vaccine works, every vaccinated person released into the population is 1 person who cannot spread the disease. That means that the unvaccinated population will also get sick less often because they got exposed less often. That means that we need to isolate the vaccine and no vaccine groups from the general population to get reliable data. Except now we isolated our groups which may cause them to not get exposed to the disease. Ok, so that requires intentionally exposing 2 groups of people to a disease then withholding medical care from one of the groups. That is Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment levels of absolutely immoral to any sane person and would never ever pass an ethics review board.

So now you face a choice. Be the next Mengele, or stop all research into the concept of vaccination forever causing all harms globally that would have been prevented by working vaccines. Both would put you on the list of greatest villains in human history.

There is no 0 risk path forward. The solutions presented by anti vaxxers are worse than the current path, though there may be ways to improve.

And yes I know I'm reasoning against a cult position which is a total waste of my effort.

I like to think I'm above falling into full cult mindset. I try anyway, like here with you :)

I see your point on the experiment, though it's a bit exaggerated. You do say there's room for improvement, which I agree on. From what I gather the issue is a rapid increase in them while at same time protecting manufacturers; that's pretty much my whole position actually.

FWIW, im a bit weird too, and I like it that way.

Not a fan of special callout legal protections, but not a fan of laws in general either.

Every new invention brings out a wave of luddites declaring it the destruction of civilization. We're still here. Science doesn't scare me, the law does.

Even our mistakes like lead, asbestos, and CFCs have generally been resolved in a generation once we spotted them.

Avoid if you wish. I'd argue that anti vaxxers dying of diseases with working vaccines is evolution putting its finger on the scale favoring intelligence. The vaccines definitely have tiers of scientific support and people who only see all or nothing are making a mistake in critical thinking.

Very reasonable, and in line with my beliefs

Now we hold our breath and wait to see if a "legally mandate all vaccines" or "legally ban all vaccines" cultist shows up to tell us how wrong we are first. Bsky, I'd bet option 1 but I'm going option 2 on nostr.

Easy bet haha. Try not to get swept up in outrage du jour, but this new push for health reform seems overdue, so I'm liking the discourse for time being

The last round of health reform only made things worse. The people leading the current push are also arresting people for skin color and doing everything short of saying the word eugenics.

The guy leading our healthcare system has no medical or science training but he did have his brain eaten by a parasite and likes to take his grandkids swimming in sewage.

I don't exactly have high hopes.

How about this?

YOU CANT FUCKING FORCE ME OR MY FAMILY INTO MEDICAL PROCEDURES.

Does that make sense to you???

I see a pharma knob has made it to nostr. The explanations you put forth are old, tired and weak. They are what NPCs parrot. It's what people settle on because it's easy and they have lost the ability to use their brains and to think for themselves. Congratulations 🎊 πŸ‘

You should visit his profile. Not very NPC at all, almost to a fault ;)

valid point. we are the creators and observers of our own universe. the rest are just npcs lol.

ITM

Yup, I heard this too. Good on you for h/t the source. Most people post these as their own thoughts… pet peeve

Thanks. I couldn't have said it better, I started to try summarizing, so posting clip seemed best. I try not to assert things confidently as my own thoughts on anything I'm not an expert on, which leaves very little πŸ˜…

And that’s ok. Very little is new under the sun. Insightful connections are enough.

We stand on shoulders and there’s virtue in acknowledging whose.

It’s a very smart legal tactic if true. RFK has experience with this from his environmental days…

Ok.... A few things here.... The link between Tylenol use in pregnant women and the increase risk of various neurological disorders, including autism, was found ten years ago by research done at Harvard and other institutions. Since then Johnson and Johnson spun off a subsidiary to absorb all the lawsuits against Tylenol. One class action lawsuit was dismissed by a judge in a very suspicious way in that he wouldn't allow the plantiffs in the case to submit the studies that showed the link to autism in court. Vaccines are also potentially a contributor to various neurological disorders but this "breakdown" by no agenda is based on nothing. Definitely not the facts

Thanks for info! Was wondering what the stakes for a class action against Tylenol would be. Assumed it would threaten JnJ enough that they might be compelled to proceed as clip suggests.

The breakdown was just someone who wrote the show and had an interesting theory. It jives with my biases too, ngl.

Sounds like you're saying JnJ not sufficiently at risk as a whole, so may not be the push to fight amongst themselves as I was hoping for?

9D chess

Perhaps not. Some comments got me thinking pressure wouldn't be enough since Tylenol was spun off from JnJ.

So 5D chess?

That was what I thought, but some comments since made me aware JnJ spun off Tylenol 10 years ago to avoid this type of liability. Clever
