Much more consistent grind size vs. boulders and dust with yours. Yours is an upgrade from buying pre-ground, a burr grinder is a huge level up even more.

Love black coffee! Definitely takes some getting used to if you did sugar and milk your whole life.

because you are not ready for its full power and must dilute it with sugar, milk or both.

See, you consume the dipped cookie or bread, you say "mmm, so yummy" and then you sip the coffee (without sugar, you must be sure that the coffee is at just the right point, not too hot, not too cold, its "umami point") and then feel relieved from all that symphony of flavor and emotion.

It's gross because you're drinking coffee ash. Light roast to vibrate off of caffeine. Medium roast for a good jolt of caffeine. Dark roast if you're dead inside.

For the variety of the coffee plants, seek for:
Mundo Novo, Bourbon, Laurina. Catuaí, Acaiá, Icatu.
You will often find those blended interchangeably. Sometimes just one of them.

Lighter brown roasted beans are for long slow drip coffee.
Dark ones for short espresso extract with pressure.
Drip coffee should be pretty ruff chunks.

If you can get whole beans and a hand grinder, doesn’t cost that much 👌 used to do hand ground coffee with a simple espresso pot (there is a trick as well) for 15 years. Just upgraded to a espresso machine and electric grinder
