🤷‍♂️

Wreck your health and kill more animals ?

Communist virtue signaling

If you don't want to hurt animals

The point is to not eat anything that has a heart beat.

lower your T

Avoiding contribution to inhumane sources of animal products, especially when living in more urban areas without access to local farms. Also lactose intolerance.

I through meat is accessible everywhere

It is, but most grocery store meat is from a large farming corporation where the animals have no quality of life and are essentially tortured. If it were proximal and more convenient for me to access animal products from a small farm or butcher with information on animal treatment of sources, I would probably not be vegan.

So you want to say that there is a grocery store around you but not farmers market ?

Or in this case it might make sense to start grow your own farm 🤔

Yes. I live in a big city and it would be impossible to have my own farm here. There is a farmer’s market, but with traffic, and i don’t believe I have ever seen meat there (maybe jerky..?) I’ve definitely seen eggs, fruits, and art. Anyways, everyone is different in what they consider humane and given my standards combined with my location, it’s difficult, which is a reason to be vegan (for me at least)…

*thought

Some people may have health issues therefore need to.

Makes sense

It would be nice if the non aggression principle could be extended to all animals, but health wise ot doesn't make any sense.

Most plants are literally trying to kill us just as much as most animals are, but plants use weapons that keep working against us even after they are dead.

I’m wondering what the % of toxins contains the plants vegan people eat 🤔

I'm not sure people are any good at quantifying the problems with oxalates, lectins, tannins, saponins, etc. Very few people even seem to be aware of them at all. But genetic modifications, poor soil management, & the stuff we spray on them definitely magnifies the issue.

At least with ruminant meat we get some level of protection from most of that.

Virtue signaling. Unless you grow every ounce of food on your own property and are willing to risk animals ruining your harvest, vegan diets will kill/harm more animals.

Different reasons for different people. Some feel it’s healthier, some do it for environmental reasons, some prob just grossed out by the idea of animal products, but i’ve always assumed most people probably want to avoid supporting farms that treat animals like shit

It means we are free to make a choice on what we choose to eat. Nothing more.

I choose to mainly eat plant based because it feels best for my body. "Vegans" are annoying usually. Often Tribalism at it's worst.

Ever notice a human with eyes above their ears, me neither

It's a way to cope with guilt about living.

The sad truth is that you must kill to stay alive, even as a vegan.

Communication with your body clears up. Emotional blurring lowers.
