So many people in bitcoin and some of your fave influencers have real behavioural and mental issues.

Narcissists and plain rude li’l bitches, it’s quite disappointing when they reveal their true colours.

See, just because we’re right about this wonderful internet token it doesn’t mean we’re a) special, b) right about any number of other things.

Be kind, anon. And if you are a bitcoin influencer, be even kinder.

Make it your f*cking grind to be kind.

I try to do this, truly, but still f*ck up loads.

PS - you are special if you’re reading this 😉

Agreed. Getting accidentally rich because buying crack on the Silk Road seems to mess with the ego a bit.

We don’t all have the same origin story

Dam, all these years I thought I was hanging out with crack heads :(

Some of us a sober psychopaths, mkayyyy?

And I just had a retard moment on that zap button 🤣🤣🤣

It's not much different from public sector employees actually.

Public sector employees buy crack on the Silk Road?

Getting accidentally rich. They are overpaid and have giant egos.

Kindness can go such a long way for someone 🤙

There's a lot of Dunning-Kruger out there, agreed. Some fellas are assumed to be experts in everything simply because they are knowledgeable about one thing.

DYOR, as always.

Kindness wins.

This is about building a better future on top of unbroken money.

🫂

3.5 years of bitcoin twitter ..and OnlyNostr seems a real option now🤙🏽

how on earth plebs complete more than 1 bitcoin twitter cycle is truely regarded🤷🏽‍♂️😂

If they're authentically kind then that's great, but I'll take authentic over kind any day.

I got no time for fake bullshit.

Just be you.

I don’t waste my time listening to people who can’t be authentically kind, life’s too short.

Be kind you, too 😉

Fake kind = nice.

If your authentic self is not kind, that’s something to change, not either just continue that way or cover it up and fake it.

When I say this, especially about those big-headed influencers at events like coin festivals, blockchain shindigs, or Bitcoin meetups, loads of folks disagree and act like these influencers most early adopt humble. The talks were all fluff, even though they had to cough up to speak dang. Thought pppffttt it was just Bali, but apparently not. And more annoying woman influencer☺️

Yes. We all need to stay humble & as open minded as possible.

It’s going to stay hard for a while since it’s an inner journey as well. Being right “with Bitcoin” doesn’t make you a better person perse, being true Bitcoiner does..😉🙏🏼

Because they think they‘ll be the next „elite“ and are not connected to the cypherpunk ethos.

Agreed, honeybadgers can do a better job to be friendly, positive and welcoming just like we do IRL.

Let's make NOSTR a place for positivity, knowledge, depth, weirdness, and support!

You said hello and asked me what music I liked. I came away thinking you are genuine and friendly person, and helped make it a perfect evening so cheers for that!

I don’t even remember this but thank you for allowing me to continue my grind 😃

So like a big reason I’m leaving X lol

they're on here in their droves — watch out big man!

Yeah wayyyyy less volume though. And no algorithm to pump things too.

On X my stuff would get amplified to those that don’t follow me who would crowd on to throw hate 🤣

So true 🫂

Name them. If they are narcissists, how will they know that they need to be better without being named?

I'm grindin' and kindin' ⚡

I can always tell when someone from across the pond is commenting, they add an extra “u” in a lot of words. labour, colour, flavour, etc.

Ruight on, fella.

Mute is your friend

Staying humble is just as important as stacking sats.

Great thoughts. I can give anyone a parabel: A couple of years ago Tesla owners thought highly of themselves- the enlightened ones. Some really literally stated convincingly that Tesla owner by the mere fact driving an EV are better humans than gazzoline fans.

Since religion doesn’t give us bearings anymore and many lack the social component of a community, those seek this warm feeling of being part of something “good” in other things.

Decency and humility is king, although it is hard sometimes

Yep. Many think they are smart because they sit on a big stack and act like douchebags.

I’m a humble pseudonymous pleb stacking sats relentlessly

Correct ser now gfy

Thought the same not too long ago..

Thanks ☺️

Amen.

Awesome Joe. Thanks for this. I sometimes wonder how others do it.

As it’s not always easy to be patient and polite.

Appreciate your honest insights.

💜 Joey

One would think that a certain time in the bitcoin field would humble someone.

Names

Or no zaps

Very true. One of my biggest disappointments is Preston Pysh, which I loved as a podcaster , only to find out how rude, childish and egotistical the dude is IRL. But yeah, you live and learn.

A lot of podcasters are very egotistical because I guess it demands it. I’ve met Preston a few times and he’s been nice though
