To clarify: This is not using Google, this would be private and sovereign, and is it not Nextcloud which needs Tor outside your network and takes like 40 hours to do anything 🤣

Lemme guess its pear?
Its a pain I agree. But nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll working on clearnet connection to make our experience much better and faster.
Even though it takes forever to upload stuff to NC when on-the-go, that little feeling of freedom inside is beautiful. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for that.
That's fair, I'm excited for that as well, and what we are building will certainly be available for Start9 also, probably as early as its first alpha versions just because their platform is perfectly aligned with how we want to leverage hardware.
That's awesome, pumped to see what you are building
interested!
There must be people at Apple, Google or wherever, whose job is to horizon scan and mitigate against threats like this. Wonder how the job spec reads.
lol, that would be an interesting find for sure.
It would be amazing if It’s prívate and sovereign 🙌🏽
I guess it is pear based. I still have to wrap my head around the trade offs. To be fair I'm still not fully happy with syncthing's tradeoffs either.
Not Syncthing then?
Negative, syncthing drove me nuts, but it’s the closest to the idea but with a very poor design, imo. I lost files almost immediately when using it actually when I found out it wasn’t non destructive, if you delete from one device it deletes from them all 🤦🏻♂️
Yes I give you that. On paper it sounds great. But UX is one of the most horrible I've seen.
