I have. It was a horrible accident. I said whole milk and the barista heard oat milk. Didn’t watch and didn’t realize until after I took a sip. It’s a damned shame that’s even a mistake that can be made in the year of our lord 2025…

Last I checked, oats don't have udders or nipples so they can't be milked. Therefore, oat "milk" is bullshit.
I tried it once. It was terrible.
I went to a vegan coffee shop once by mistake. Never again.
My response when asked, “What kind of milk do you want?” — “I’d like cat milk. It’s the latest trend in the Northeast.”
Said with a somewhat serious face, your average barista takes it hook, line and sinker…..

Also missed the alt milk craze. And so far, haven’t knowingly heard either a Justin Bieber song or a Taylor Swift song. In general, checking out of common culture fads has been a huge net win in my life.
It’s really great, they squeeze those dry little oats like crazy and get a drop of their milk! Much better for the environment to have 1000’s of acres of oat crops that are harvested with gas guzzling heavy equipment. Cows fart too!
That might change if the studies where it purportedly helps excrete microplastics turn out to be true.

Well shit, I had to try it after seeing your post. It’s a hard pass on its own, but I discovered it’s by far the best liquid to mix protein powder in. It’s thicker than blends better than water or cow milk.
