I've always said that Bitcoin is one killer app/platform away from mainstream eyes . Netscape then Explorer brought the internet to our homes and really showed us what the internet was about. So I keep thinking what would that thing be for bitcoin..

Good morning! I found mySelf talking to the dentist about Bitcoin yesterday. I clean pools😁…it’s way more than just being smart. I know it’s my spiritual alignment that led me to Bitcoin which led me to here. It was so very cool to witness the curiosity taking place and the eyebrows lift when I stated I never understood inflation until I got into bitcoin.

The great thing about bitcoin is that you don't need to be smart to benefit from it. Just buy it.

GM Jeff, I was one of those in another decade in 90s when a colleague showed me how she could email someone else in another university via the terminal. She was super excited about it and I was so arrogant, small minded and not curious enough to understand. My ego got in the way...not going to repeat this mistake with bitcoin!

Educating investors is great (🙏🙏🙏) but I also try to talk to senior lawyers as they are often consulted in investment matters. Hardware wallets for x-mass gifts seem to be working pretty well to get them curious! Cheers!

Lol indeed, the recent holidays gave me such a good sense of perspective of how deep down the rabbithole I am, how far I've reprogrammed under a deflationary system and how frame of reference counts for so much. Instead of being attacked to NGU fiat figures, I see the value I provide the market gets more valuable over time, I see my life being cheaper to run over time and I see that these network effects are relatively still small and grow at compound rates as more people figure it out and transition.

Obviously I believe that “for profit” capitalism will be crippled by #bitcoin but not completely erased. Your outlook points to this, even though you don’t say it out right, yet. We are all in this together, this time we have bitcoin, barrier to entry/capitalism now has competition. Shifting that frame of reference can be really, really hard. Feels impossible in many cases. But then, it’s the people who most need the shifted frame that are easiest to get through to. They’re just not that easy to identify beforehand.

You continue to be an inspiration every day. Thanks for your work, Jeff. Do you have any good resources like basic slideshows or something for someone wanting to do community education projects? I want to try to get an educational community Bitcoiners group going but don't have a ton of time to develop resources. I can talk bitcoin and Austrian economics for days, but wondering if anyone has put together some good bullet points in a logical order for people new to BTC.

I assume this was a conference or event put on by another group? Can you share the name? It does feel early and I do have the same feeling that I had after running a bulliten board for years and roaming the internet in the eighties we'll before the world wide web. When http was all the rage I had the same idea as Bezos and others that tried to sell books online and tried to get wholesalers in on the emerging technology. I was way too early and had no idea what I was doing but this time around, while early, we have the tools and communication platforms that are vastly superior (think CompuServe) to build so many amazing things. I agree that those in this realm are second to none!

Thanks Jeff. As someone only 2 months into a bitcoin journey, your insight has made my resolve much stronger. Still mildly terrified by how human ego will try to destroy it. Looking forward to seeing more high net worth entities and individuals publicly revealing their support.

As someone who currently runs a “traditional” lower middle market private equity firm and has the same set of investors for target LPs as you are approaching Jeff, I APPLAUD YOU for being on the frontlines of educating that cadre. I KNOW how set in the old fiat thinking that group is. Sadly, many are still hopeful that the existing controlling and centralized system can be fixed from within; from within the same system that created the problems that have dehumanized and demoralized. The same system that created and will continually propel the hopeless, damaged and cynical state of affairs all around. You said it correctly, we were all there at one point.
