I don't believe so, but I'd like to see that feature.

Not only ‘Mute’ button but also ‘Block’ button
What would a block feature do differently than a mute? It's not possible to block someone from engaging with your notes, you can only "mute" them (filter their notes out so you don't have to see them)
I think Muting someone is ‘hiding someone from my Note’
But blocking someone is ‘completely removing from my Note’
By muting someone, u can see him/her in some way, but not in blocking. That’s what I thought, maybe I am wrong
I think clients today usually use the mute for what you describe as block but maybe it could be possible to do a "softer" mute as well? That'll be up to the awesome client devs to figure out
I muted them, after a couple of mutes they all were gone.
I wonder if Relays advertise somewhere what they filter. If this exists I would like to see and dive deeper.

Maybe a web of trust would be a good idea? I.E. hide replies that are not followed by anybody you're following.
Replies from people that are more than two degrees of separation away from your social network that is.
