Water doesn't satiate. It merely distracts.
Wonder if this will change in the coming days.

What do you mean by the coming days?
Drought?
I'm doing a 6 day water only fast, so more like a famine.
I wasn't sure if you were saying that there's going to be a drought.
That's super dope though! Are you doing it for health, challenge, religious reasons?
Is this the longest you will have ever gone?
It's a health challenge, a detox, etc. not for religious reasons per se, but it helps a lot with meditation and impulse control.
This is the first time I'm going for more than a day.
How much do you drink per day?
I think I'm on my 7th cup today. On a regular day, I don't really keep track. I'm usually sipping from a big water flask that I refill.
You often think about food, don't you?
Yeah, even though I'll only eat two times a day usually nowadays. I've cut down on snacking almost entirely.
I fast in between. I eat two meals between 2pm and 8pm. Normally at 2pm straight away and at 6pm. I only eat later than 6pm when I'm out with friends or at the weekend. No snacks between meals either. It's probably similar to you.
I've been a little all over the place with the times I eat just because I've made so many changes to my diet in the past year, it's still leveling out. But on a typical day, it is pretty similar to your schedule.
Have you ever fasted more than a couoek days before?
Coupleπ
No, the longest I've gone is 24 hours, and I'm at 22 hours now. The interesting thing so far is that the hunger feels like a baby crying for attention rather than for food.
Are you walking for at least 45 minutes a day? If not, you need to get up and move. This helps you body keep your muscle more than burning fat. There have been studies that show that moderate movement during the day is much better even when fasting than doing as little as possible.
I don't go for walks very often. I work out with weights and kempo often, but I'm not doing either right now.
Walks sound like a great idea. I was wondering whether it would help, but walking in a starved state makes a lot of sense evolutionarily.
Yup. It does. So do it. Don't go into hibernation mode. Movement will also help curb your crying baby hunger pangs.
I'm out and about π«‘
